So I originally bought these for inside purposes but sometimes I have to go outside immediately for some stuff and pebbles get stuck under them, so yeah they pretty much for indoor use only. Other than that they pretty good

The Cutey May Japanese Shoes are basically traditional, Japanese wooden sandals that have a nice style and feel to them.The sandals bases are well made from polished, paulownia wood and the upper part is minimally contoured so that the heel is slightly higher than the front of the foot. The base of the sandals have rubberized pads on the front and back to prevent slipping. The straps are made of a velvet like fabric that is comfortable. Basically, the sandals are like wearing a wooden flip-flop. The sandals come with thin socks that have a split between the big to and all other toes, so you can wear them while using the sandals.The sandals have a very unique feel to them. It's kind of like wearing a wooden clog without the upper. At first, walking was awkward, but once you get the hang of it is easy to walk in them and they seem to promote good, upright posture. The socks were a nice addition to the shoes, but make it more difficult to walk: the surface of the shoe is polished and the sock, being smooth and non-grippy, cause your feet slide across the surface. If the bottom of the sock were rubberized or the tops of the sandals were more grippy it would be different, but I had a very difficult time using the sandals with the socks, as it was a challenge keeping the back of my foot from slipping off the shoe. Walking barefoot, though, works quite well.All-in-all these are an interesting set of shoes. They are esthetically pleasing to look at but also far more comfortable than I would have imagined for walking around the house.
