Not cushiony, very rigid and painful to wear.

I regularly play golf with two friends, one who had heel pain from plantar fasciitis, the other who is a retired podiatrist. The podiatrist suggested some stretching exercises and these Spenco inserts. That was several weeks ago. I bought the inserts for my friend with the heel pain. He keeps them in his golf shoes, and since trying them has not had any more pain in his heel. His golf game still causes him agony, however.

These are and have been since I began wearing them in the '80's, the best insoles I have ever used. I recommend them to all my athletes w/ sore feet, heels, arches etc.--I've been a high school and club coach for 30 years--and they all love them. Three of the five in our family wear these daily! Additionally, these last at least 12 months and generally longer unless they're in my daily running shoes!
