Good for what I need
After reading the reviews I though “what the heck I’ll give it a shot”. Many of the reviews said it was super yellow, so instead of the DARK GOLD, I got LIGHT GOLD- and it is the color I was hoping for. It isn’t rose gold, but a warmer gold that isn’t overwhelmingly yellow. I have a comparison with the “yellow gold” and the actual product.I will say that it seems a little flimsy and for heavy duty wrapping it might break if you pull too hard. I just do light stone wrapping and this will work just fine.I don’t know if it is my eyes just playing tricks on me, but it looks like the tone isn’t completely consistent and looks a little faded, but again for the price I think it’s great.I took some pictures in different lighting so you can get the general idea of the coloring.

Terrible
Reviews for this seemed overall positive so I took the chance and five minutes after receiving it I'm ready to return.1. Soft. Too soft. Super soft, will not hold up well.2. Listing says tarnish resistant, packaging says 'Permanently Colored Wire' (no reference to tarnish resistance). I made one loop to get started on a project and a big piece of the gold color had flaked right off, and KEPT flaking using only my fingernail. I've had scratcher lottos with more resistance!3. The Light Gold color looks nothing like the picture, very cheap looking yellow. Looks like the Dark Gold shade, but the packaging clearly says Light Gold.Unless you're doing projects where the wire isn't going to be seen and no one's going to be touching or pulling on it, I do NOT - can not - recommend this wire.

What I expected
I bought this as an experiment. I'm crocheting chains for hanging lightweight sun catchers. I wasn't sure how this would work so I had no expectations when I ordered it. I've experimented with a variety of sizes of crochet hooks...smaller hooks obviously are more challenging. But it works how I expected. Once completed the single crochet chain can be pulled taunt and makes a nice looking fine chain for hanging the sun catchers. It can be bent and snapped and cuts easily with a scissors.

FALSE ADVERTISING
This is false advertising. The product description listed this as bare copper wire. This is not bare copper wire. After putting in a few hours of wire weaving on a piece, I tried to tarnish (antique) it and it wouldn't tarnish. My other wires turned out fine, but this wire is still shiny copper. If I wanted tarnish resistant wire, I would have ordered that. Now I have to spend another 3 hours making a new piece. Absolutely ridiculous.

Great wire, but the length is much shorter.
This is probably the best 26-ga copper wire I have ever used - and I've worked with many different ones. The reason for 3 stars is the length indicated on the spool is not anywhere near the real length. The length is supposedly 60 meters, while in reality it is around 25 meters - much, much shorter! I know because I use about a meter of it for a single suncatcher, and I made 22 of them before the wire ran out.

Slippery packaging
Let me start off by saying I love this wire. I buy all sizes of this wire frequently. The only reason I gave 4 stars is because this time when I got my package, I opened it up and noticed a strong perfume smell. As I continued to grab the bag of wire inside....the bag of wire was coated in a slippery substance that reaked of perfume. It was so strong it set me off on an allergy attack sneezing. I don't know what it was, but I hope it gets fixed because that was real gross.

Easy to use, good quality wire
Great wire, as always craft wire impressions expensive to get, but I found this very easy to use and was able to correct mistakes. This is a coating over the wire so over working or rough abrasions from pliers will expose the silver color underneath

Product is good!
This is a good product. I reduced the rating a bit because I was expecting a thicker wire. I wish I had known more about wire size before ordering. So, take the time to learn what weight and thickness of wire you need for your project!

Benecreat wires are always beautiful
I use the 22 gauge to secure multiple pieces of thicker gauge wire together.I prefer using the 22 over the 24-28 because it's more sturdy, even though it's a little tougher for me to manipulate.Regardless, it's another perfect addition to my craft collection.
