Xpedition Archery Xtraction 400X Crossbow
I just ordered and received my new Xpedition Archery Xtraction 400X Crossbow! WOW what an awesome lightweight compact crossbow! I just set it up and in three shot i had it dialed in ready to go! This crossbow is very comfortable and easy to shoot. This is very important to me in the field having equipment i can shoot easily and depend on when that moment presents itself. I am VERY happy with my choice purchasing the Xpedition Archery Xtraction 400X Crossbow! I recommend this Xpedition crossbow 100% to anyone looking to get a crossbow that is comfortable and lightweight!

QUALITY
I like the cross bow worked on sighting in to start.then knocked the bow over and it it the scope and broke the mount.Moved scope back barely catching what was left on bow of mount and checked if still on target.seemed ok then finished the hunt. Didn't get shot off.will get a new mount and when get chance to fix and get it ready for next hunt. I'll have to update review.

String popped on the first shot....
Well, I was really excited about getting this crossbow. It was my first introduction into arechery. Followed the directions exactly how the manual stated. Even went a step further and used locktite on the screws holding the riser in place. Side note, the QR code for the "Assembly Video" doesn't do anything but take you to the home page of the website. Anyways I inspected the bow from top to bottom after it was assembled 3 times. Nothing seemed out of place. Lubed the string and rail with the supplied lube. Used the supplied bolts. On the very first shot the string snapped, and the bolt i was using snapped in half. Super unfortunate. Upon inspecting it, from the pics I have of when I assembled it, the dampener doesnt seem to be touching the string when it was uncocked. Now this is my first Bow/Crossbow ever, not sure it that is why the string popped, however doing some research on other crossbows, even different brands of crossbows, the dampeners seem to be touching the string when the crossbows are uncocked. Even on Xpeditions website, the Xtration 400, in the pics you can see that the dampeners are against the string when not cocked. I submitted a claim immediately to Xpedition. Hopefully I hear back immediately. Really wanted this to be a great first experience. So far it hasn't been. Also attached are pics from when it was first assembled. You can see the gap in between the dampeners and the string. Manualbsays nothing about adjusting them.....

Good so far!
Easy Assembly. At first the slide rail cocker was sketchy for me, but I've learned to trust it. It's more of a friction style device, rather than locking into place. It definitely shoots as fast as advertised. I had a 350fps rated target, it blew through it and went through a metal fence post. So make sure your target is 400+ rated. The YJ-425 by yellowjacket was my choice. It took me 6 or 8 shots to perfectly zero in this crossbow. They sent me 6 bolts, instead of the advertised 3 bolts, which was cool. My main issue with this crossbow is the placement of the quiver. If you sit the crossbow down flat, it has no choice but to push upward on your arrows. Additionally, your shoulder strap has to drape over the arrows and quiver because of the attachment point for the shoulder strap. Just not a good design. But overall, I am happy so far after about 10 shots. 4/5 stars.
