Federal 3 Star Euro Cylinder Thumb Turn Door Lock TS007 Diamond Secure Anti-Snap Dual Finish 5 Keys 55/45

Had this installed in our door for a while now. Far superior than the standard Yale lock it replaced. It feels both incredibly easier to get the key into the lock, whilst also feeling like a really snug fit which adds to the feel of quality when using it. Wish I'd upgraded years ago. It was also simple to replace the old lock.

I recently upgraded my home security and chose the Federal 3 Star Euro Cylinder Thumb Turn Door Lock TS007 Diamond Secure Anti-Snap system, and I couldn't be more impressed! I wanted a turn thumb and these fitted the bill for the exact size I needed. They fit perfect and work very well no issues. They get a lot of use. I bought 2 of them. I can recommend. Wish they came with a choice of different colour keys though so I’ve coloured one set with nail varnish to distinguish.

To start with the build quality looks good, feels nice, good keys, 5 of them with is lucky as getting spares will take a bit more effort that going to B&Q and thinking their machines will cut one.That's a good thing, as anyone trying to bump or wake etc will find it's not that kind of lock.So that's a good start.Anti snap too, which is a shockingly easy way to destroy some locks.Fitting would have been the usual doodle 2 min job.Sadly mine is going back.I am fitting a smart lock and I need a thumbscrew that can be taken off.This looks like it has a hardened pin holding it on.Normally that's good but sadly not for me.I am a bit gutted as this is a really good lock.

The lock is slightly longer than expected which doesn't cause me any difficulty.It feels smooth to use and fitted in my door perfectly.There are five keys with the lock and a fixing screw.After registering the lock to and opt out of marketing emails i was informed i will receive six monthly emails to remind me to lubricate the lock, lubricant is graphite powder and not any kind of oil or WD40.

durable, good value for money

I purchased this lock on the 25th February 2025 and what a disaster it has been. Initially the lock and supplied keys worked although it seemed a bit rough. After a few days the key fitting seemed rougher but still worked so extra keys were purchased using the (IronGuard) information supplied with the lock. None of these keys worked so they were returned and replaced with a second set. Only one of these second set worked intermittently. Twice the lock has failed to work resulting in being locked out. Fortunately access via the back door has been possible and the front door unlocked via the thumb turn. The situation now is that the lock only works randomly no matter which key is used. The lock is supposed to have a 10 year guarantee but this thing has not yet worked for two months and I have had to remove it, as being locked out is not a feature of my life style I wish to continue
