We now have two of these due to them breaking so much. It works well when it actually works...

I got one of these used several months ago and it works great. It has no trouble getting onto and over the thick doormats we have, unlike previous ones I've tried.My one complaint is that it requires your wifi network to be visible. Most people keep their visible, so this won't be a problem, but after having my wifi hijacked a few years ago, I keep mine invisible. The Deebot works fine, following its schedule and area restrictions even when offline, but if I want to change something, I have to make my network visible, reconnect the Deebot, make the change, then make my network invisible again, which is inconvenient.Also the suction on the self-emptying base isn't strong enough to clear clay cat litter out of the robot, so I still have to empty it out manually every so often. It sucks the other stuff out just fine, though.

After working fine for a year, the tower will on rare occasion continuously suck without stopping. The first time it happened it was trying to empty the DeeBot for THREE HOURS!!! The whole house smelled like burned dog hair and plastic and smelled that way for several days. When I contacted customer support telling them the device needed an updated to shutoff after so many minutes, they gave me two things to check and then told me it was out of warranty and a list of places I could pay to get it repaired even though they didn't know what the issue was.Additionally, the mapping feature sucks-- after the tower gets moved even slightly when docking, the map is lost and it remaps the same house with a slight rotation. This invalidates any advanced scheduling (by room or room order) and your schedule will not run.
