So far so good
Seems to be holding up well so far, NO issues with the hoses or installation. Good value, no need to spend close to $200 for a 'name brand' item that does the same exact thing.

excellent protection for high performance engines
I have the F-150 with the dual turbo 3.5 , have high flow intake installed, and reprogrammed the engine to run on 93 octane, so it performs very well. I had an oil separator in my Mustang GT that preceded this truck, so I am aware of the benefits. Lots of racing teams use these, to keep oil from the gasses exiting the PCV from getting to the inlet and causing pre-detonation. This unit essentially replaces the recirculation hose that connects the PCV to the inlet with two hose connections with a catch can in the middle to trap the oil. While this device works well (I installed it recently), it came with zero install instructions (no paperwork at all, just the bare unit), so I had to look for a Youtube video and how to install one (my Mustang install was 9 years ago). Also, the clip that goes on the side of the battery box had a loose nut in it which fell off when crewing it in, so I had to scrounge to find my own. because of these 2 issues, I deducted a star.Install took me just over 1/2 hour, mostly due to the pain of mounting the holding bracket to the battery box. I ran the hoses over the large intake hose because when I tried them under it, it pulled on the mount on the side of the plastic battery box, which stressed it too much. Then, I moved them so they were on the side of the engine, and put the engine cover back on (see my photo). For the one I had on my Mustang GT, I checked it every oil change, and all I ever found in it was maybe 1/4" of oil, so that frequency should work well, and is easy to remember. This unit even has a screw-in dipstick (my previous one did not), so checking it is easy, without having to unscrew the unit and look inside, just check the dipstick like the main oil.

Dipstick feature
WYNNsky Oil Seperator Oil Catch Can for 2011-2021 Ford F150 5.0L 3.5L 2.7L, Passenger SideDesigned and fit nicely in my Ford F150. There are no directions included or on this page. This maybe an issue for someone that has never installed or used an oil catch can. Inlet and outlet markings on the canister’s top housing. Universal mounting bracket and attachment bolts included. Can be mounted alongside the battery box or another location if you prefer. This unit does not contain a bronze filter on the inlet side of the canister like the higher priced units. Just a baffle on the inlet side. The anodized coating is good except for a nick on the lower oil catch canister. Catch canister’s lower tank and fittings seal tightly with no leaks. A little concerned on the thickness of the O-ring between the top mount and the oil catch can bottom. Afraid it may tear after a few years of use. Will have to wait and see. The dipstick feature is a nice benefit to see how much oil is in the canister without dropping the lower catch can.Nice entry level oil catch can for a daily driver. Well worth the price.
