This review is for the Kilt Emporium Premium Celtic Leather Kilt Sporran Suspender - Adjustable Heavy Metal D Ring & Clasp Hook, Traditional Scottish/Irish Wear.So let me start off with saying I have fast become a fan of this label as I have several items from the brand and I generally think they have high quality items.This set of black sporran suspender straps is leather, but I would not call them high quality, which I am greatly disappointed by. They are not on par with the high quality supple strong leather gear I am used to handling with horse/dog gear. They instead are rather dry/stiff feeling and I do not find the little hooks on them to be of the high quality I am used to from this label either.That being said they will work for their intended purpose and it's easy enough to put different clips on them. The snaps and D rings are fine. I will also use some of my favorite tried and trusted leather cleaner/conditioner on them and see if they have a better feel then.I intend to use them on a ren faire outfit on a belt to hang other leather bags, or a scabbard or quiver from.... and they should work well for that. They have nice pattern stamped on them too.For the regular price $12.99 per the listing they are a good value for their intended or other use provided they last.Again I must say the other pieces I have gotten from this label I have been delighted with the high quality and attention to details. As I said I will try my high quality leather conditioner and see if they soften up. It is most likely this is a one off with this particular product not living up to my expectations, at least I hope it is. I will update for sure with the results. It is also possible for leather to dry out if it is not properly stored, such as if it is exposed to high temps for an extended period of time and the leather is not conditioned enough.As always I only do honest reviews and I will update if needed. I hope this helps you make the best choices on how to spend you $.

I don't believer that this is a simulated leather but it does have a cardboard feel to it. It isn't a heavy grade of leather (it's about a 1/16 in thick) it'll work as a decorative piece of equipment. It fits my wide kilt belt (two prong clasp) and the snaps are solid. The attached clips that it came with are fine but my sporran has some already that are more solid so I'll use those. These will work just fine if you need them. Overall, these are fine just not really what you see in the pictures.

These are acceptable quality sporran straps for the price offered. The leather, hardware and workmanship are all acceptable, if not great. These are not as good as my better quality mainstays, but as a spare for emergencies, they are fine. Good value for the price offered. I would recommend them for casual use only with a modern-style jacket/vest or sweater. If you are going more formal, spend more for a higher-quality option.

They are a black died salt deck not sporan Loop holders! They are very reasonably priced. I find that they really are only good for use with a belt. I tried to use these to hold a Viking horn and it didn't work LOL for use with that belt and spray and they are excellent. That is their intended use so it's a win. The leather is very hard and non-bending. The snaps will pop open if you put anything too thick or round in the slip parts. Just use for regular belt. I highly recommend these for a cheap fashionable option to hold your sporan!
