The media could not be loaded. Item is vehicle-specific. I ordered the product for a 2019 Ram 1500. It arrived the next day with all necessary hardware. Instructions were included in the box. To complete the assembly, you'll need a T-40 Torx, a 13mm wrench, and a small pry bar (to release the spring clips on the ball ends of the strut). Having read the instructions before I received the product, I purchased a Torx socket set from Amazon.com. It arrived the same day. Install took less than 10 minutes. (NOTE: I placed a washer on the threaded ball insert where it screws into the tailgate because I could not separate the one from the OEM bolt I removed.)

When you get older, these are helpful! This is my second one, on the second truck. The gate drops SLOWLY, and quietly. Install was quick

Cheaply Made. Didn't last broke with in Seconds.
Easy to install, then was frustrated it snapped like a stick. Very cheaply made. Hopefully Rough Country will make it right.

Excellent upgrade.
Simple to install works well added on both side. Slow open with two. Which I wanted. Only need one for faster opening.

Sincerely could be better.
I return another one that didn't fit and looked better quality than this one. This one the parts kind of feel cheap and they defintely look cheap. Even the branding looks like it will last a few car washings because the white lettering wasnt painted correctly. I gave it 3 stars because at the end of the day it does the job even how it looks. The thing i'm concern is that where it hooks with the ball plate and ball screw it doesnt feel is fixed correctly it moves if you touch the tailgate assist and it feels like with time it will get off.
