Works well, but a run-control method is needed
Bought an open-box because of lhe low price. It arrived as advertised. When running it pulled down to 25" without effort. Wonderful. Now to finish up the installation with the already purchased limit switch. SLICK pump, better price. (secrete)

Works great
Exact fit/replacement for my 2006 Volvo S60 R. Its quiet, I can't hear it at all, but I know its working because now I don't have to press down hard on the pedal anymore.

Durability
Poor. Pump seems to be defective. It worked great and stopped working after a few days.

Fixed Error ER bb on dashboard Subaru Tribeca
This pump perfectly fixed the "ER bb" code we were getting on the odometer of our 2010 Subaru Tribeca.Mind you, this is NOT EXACTLY the same pump you might get from a Subaru parts dealer, but the only difference that I can see is that the wiring harness is shorter than the Subaru part. This is not a problem, however, as the connector is the same and there is some slack on the car's factory wiring harness. So aside from the shorter wires and the Subaru part numbers, this seems to be an exact fit. The original pump even says UP-28 on it as well as being manufactured by Hella, too.Now the fact that the original pump failed is probably more related to the pump being spec'ed too low (only for 600 hours) for brake booster duty on a car driven in a lot of traffic. I cannot blame the Hella pump for that failure so much as Subaru for specifying the wrong part. Still and all, this is the only mechanical failure we've had on our Subaru Tribeca in almost 70,000 miles, so I'm happy with both the Subaru Tribeca and the Hella UP-28 pump so far.

so we replaced it with Hella pump wow what a difference in quality and quiet Very nice pump! we will use them in all my ...
I have to tell you was a little skeptical because of the size < I had installed a larger different brand before, it was so loud inside the car, so we replaced it with Hella pump wow what a difference in quality and quiet Very nice pump! we will use them in all my builds in the future

Cheaper that OEM, but didn't last forever...
I just bought this a second time because the first time only lasted a few years. Having done this job once, I was definitely disappointed to have to do it again. However, given the price difference between this one and a Volvo one, it deserves 3 stars.

Giving it 8/10
Used to replace the original pump in my Subaru Tribeca 08 (which I had brake issues happening in the really cold weather -30C). The new pump seems better but not 100%. It still takes a couple minutes to get my brakes going in the extreme temperatures andit occasionally seems a little noisy. I don't recall hearing the old one but maybe that was because it wasn't working. Mostly good though and better than it was. May get the mechanic to take another look at it.
