Recipes to cherish!
If you have been wanting to preserve your food memories in a recipe book, THIS is a beautiful and organized way to do it. My grandmother’s secret potato salad is long recipe and there was plenty of room for all the love to be written on the page! Great gift to give your mom with a note asking her to fill in your favorites or to a newlywed couple! I would definitely buy it again.

Beautiful book
The description said 8.5x11 but actually it’s only the cover that is that dimension the recipe cards are actually smaller. So if I print a recipe because I didn’t want to write it out I have to cut the paper so it can fit in the book. That’s why I bought it because I wanted a full paper size book .

Love it
My only drawback is the binder should be 2 inches. The paper will bind when it is full.

Such a disappointment
Let's start with the positives.PROS --- This arrived in a sturdy cardboard box, ready for gift-giving whether wrapped in paper or popping a bow on it. The items inside were all wrapped in plastic sleeves. You get a LOT of pages for writing down your recipes, 2 sheets of stickers and 2 sheets of labels. The dividers are thick plastic with a pocket and vary in colors. The recipe pages are thick as well and I wouldn't think they'd bleed through. These are standard 8-1/2 x 11 sheets.CONS --- And these are huge for me, personally. The recipe pages while being double-sided ... they are double-sided to write one recipe on the front, one on the back. Some of my recipes need more space than a few lines on a page ... especially if they're going to be handed down to the kids (regardless of their ages lol). It would have been a much better idea to have the back set up to continue from the front page. Another BIG shock was the binder itself. The picture looks like a pretty hardcover 'book' when, in fact, it's an opaque, floppy, cheap ... thing. There is absolutely no way it will stay open to read the recipes inside. The pretty 'cover' page is nothing more than another sheet of paper with a pretty design. Because of the odd placement of the holes, you can't even find a different, better binder to use.I'm on the fence whether I'm going to put the time and effort into writing down my recipes, many of which came from the Old Country, for this binder. I want something hardcover. Something that won't flop around and need paperweights to keep open during use. Honestly, you can do better making one yourself. If you don't have a printer, just get a binder that has a window pocket and find a nice picture to slide into it or make your own with cardstock, get dividers and regular paper ... or even pretty paper. All can be found in the stationary/school/office supply aisles of most stores. It might cost $5 or $10 more, depending on what you use, but it will look prettier, be more cohesive and easy-to-use/read and something you would be proud to pass on to either family members or friends. I wouldn't gift this and I would not recommend. The presentation was lovely. The concept is good. The execution failed miserably in my opinion.
