I thought that buying a branded Beldray bin would be a good idea as there are plenty of cheap bins with similar appearance but mixed reviews. This one was reasonably priced with a guarantee.The first bin arrived and whilst the lid didn't fit squarely, and looked wonky was acceptable. For a few weeks that is, then the soft close mechanism failed and the bin lid closed with a loud bang. It was too late to return to amazon as the returns window had closed, and I contacted the manufacturer for help under their 2 year guarantee.Basically, Beldray didn't want to know and I was referred back to amazon, who also didn't want to know.I thought maybe I had just got a dud, so ordered a replacement, after all Beldray was a good British manufacturer right? - wrong!!I ordered a second, that bin had a faulty soft close mechanism out of the box, so exchanged it again, and a 3rd bin lasted only 3 days before the soft close mechanism broke. so I have 1 faulty bin that works but soft close doesn't. manufacturer doesn't want to know. 2 further replacements all faulty either at delivery or shortly afterwards and returned. The last item didn't even come boxed, just loose in a bag within an amazon box. How it wasn't dented when it arrived was a miracle.Final gripe was why oh why do Beldray stick a large marketing / display sticker on the front of the item that is impossible to remove? If you are going to do it, at least just use an easy-peel adhesive!!In Summary, poor quality item, no better than all the other cheap quality bins and manufacturer support is non-existent.I don't recommend.I would avoid at all costs.
