Lens Mount Adapter EF-EOS M Compatible with Canon EF/EF-S Lens to Canon EOS M (EF-M Mount) Camera

I ordered this as a gift for a friend who is deeply into photography, and has invested in more than a dozen Canon EF lenses for her camera bodies. A while back she added an EOS M body to her collection, and one or two lenses, but she did not have an adapter to make use of the many thousands of dollars of glass from her EOS/EF-L lens collection. This was just the solutions! She reports that it works great and has been compatible with every lens she has mounted. If you have both EF and M mount bodies, this is a way to keep all of your lenses in your bag working no matter which camera you grab.

The adapter worked initially but after 2 months I put it on and the adapter could no longer properly connect my EFS 55-250 to my canon m-50. Aputure control and autofocus no longer worked. Recommend caution with this product.

This adapter feels firm. It does not feel as smooth as the Canon adapter (there is a different super finish on mating surfaces and bevels that aid in this). It is secure and on longer lenses, there is no play in the connection. The bonus with this adapter is the foot is removable so you can use this to help hold heavier lenses without putting stress on your EOS M body.

A definite money-saver over the OEM part. Material and build quality are pretty darned good to. Not just good for the money, but would be good at 2x the price. I have friends with ones that look very similar to this one. Some are well made and well fitting while others are not. This is one of the good ones IMHO.We all know that Cannon has dropped the EOS-M cameras and lenses. Although the were well made, Canon also never issued a large number/type of lenses for the line, and they were a little pricy to boot. This adapter means that while those cameras live on for many years to come, you don't have to invest in EOS-M specific lenses to use them.If you're like me and have a number of Canon EF or EF-s lenses for your DSLR(s), you'll be excited that this inexpensive adaptor means you don't have to buy from a dwindling and expensive supply of EOS-M lenses.Tested on my EOS-M6 (1st Gen) and EOS M2. Autofocus and other electronic functions worked as they should with the lenses I tried. First pic is the EOS M6 and an attached EF-s 50mm F1.8, with the EF-M 16-45mm kit lens next to it for reference.The only drawback/negative is that it does add about 1 inch to your overall lens length, but that's true of ANY adapter for the system, not just this one.Build and material quality are very good. Fits snug on both sides of the adapter (no gaps or wobble). I'd have liked to see the metal have more polish than what it has, but it's not gritty feeling either.If you have a heavy lens you can opt to use the adaptor's included tripod mount (see my 2nd pic) to reduce strain on the camera's lens ring. Conversely, you can easily remove it (see my 3rd pic) if not needed to save on weight and also just have a cleaner profile.Bottom Line: 1) It works as advertised. 2) I'm glad I bought this one, would recommend to a friend, and will definitely use it. 3) Any superiority the OEM part may have is probably negligible to the average user. 4) It is quite literally 1/4 to 1/5 the price of OEM.

Works very well my ef mounted lenses fit perfectly, images came out very well and no issues with focus and image stabilization

I love this adapter. It opens a huge selection of lenses for my Canon M50. I can finally get 150 - 400 telephoto lens and mount it right onto this adapter....previously, no way you could escape the limitation of lenses for this camera model. Now I can use the Canon M50 lenses and EF/EF-S lenses. Yeee Haw!

This is a pretty simple set up, you put this’d on to be able to use a wider variety of lenses on my Canon Camera and it works well for the post part. I am not using it for professional use I don’t it would be good for that but an armature our learning this is great. The adapter itself is light weight but feels a little cheap which is why I took off one star. Overall it’s a nice adapter and will work for basic needs.

Good ones are costly, excellent ones are downright expensive. This is where this adapter comes in. I am now able to interchange my expensive lens sets one body to another (one standard to another) for merely $40 or so, and as I have many lenses (even as an amateur+ photog) this represents enormous utility, weight, and cost savings.
