nice dock works well with win11 and opensuse
was a little nervous to drop the cash for this knowing it was designed for a mac. my usage needs are via hp laptop but with two 20 tb datacenter drives in it this things performs as advertised in win11 which i need for work and OpenSuse i use for personal.I would recommend this for anyone stuck with a laptop that needs industrial grade storage and extra ports.

Haptisch gut, akustisch leider zu laut, wirft man das Laufwerk aus und will weiter am Mac arbeiten hat man ein nerviges fiepen

Buyer Beware Subscription Service required!
Overall the the hardware is great quality and easy setup… I watch a lot of OWC videos and YouTube videos, no mention you must subscribe to annual premium subscription $149/yr, to create disk volumes or make use of the raid features… because I opened all the packaging and new hard drives, I wasn’t able to return for a refund!!! So I suck it up and paid the $149. This should be the first line of the product info… “Warning you will be required to purchase a premium software package to use the storage features!”

Speichermedium wird nicht erkannt
Am ersten Tag hat noch alles funktioniert, dann verschwand immer mal die Festplatte(n), wurden vom MacBook nicht mehr angezeigt. Das konnte anfangs noch durch Aus- und Einstecken behoben werden. Irgendwann ging gar nichts mehr, habe nicht mehr auf die Festplatten zugreifen können, Daten futsch.Gleiches Problem war mit der Ladefunktion: manchmal wurde das MacBook geladen, manchmal nicht.Alles andere funktionierte, Thunderbolt wurde weitergeleitet, Monitor erkannt.Da ich an meine Daten wieder ran musste, habe ich von Amazon den Kontakt zum Hersteller-Support erhalten. Dieser hat sich bis jetzt (2 Wochen) überhaupt nicht gemeldet! Frechheit!Konnte meine Daten zum noch Glück retten.Rückabwicklung über Amazon jedoch wie gewohnt vorbildlich! Obwohl ich die Original-Verpackung schon weggeworfen hatte, kein Problem.Schade, denn wenn es funktionieren würde, wäre das ein tolles Gerät! Aber nachdem der Support nicht antwortet, kann ich auch kein Ersatzgerät probieren. Hab mir stattdessen jetzt eine NAS geholt und dort meine zwei Laufwerke eingebaut, bis sehr zufrieden.
