I have several similar (actually Identical, some red, some blue) to this that I keep in our cars that are parked in the driveway. Just as a small deterrent to those that wonder by in the night looking in car windows and trying car doors. These in combination with the motion detector lights AND obvious security cameras have reduced the number of car break-ins in the neighborhood. The price tag for a single unit is a bit steep, but the light does flash at night and the battery charges during the day if it receives sufficient sunlight. I have only used the charging ports during the very initial charges.

The media could not be loaded. I really like that this is solar powered, though you will need to make sure you stick this in a spot that gets good sunlight. The rear view mirror is probably the best spot and the led can be seen easily at night there as well. It blinks quite realistically and seems to be charging up during the day just fine. The only down side is the older style charging port, but it is solar so that shouldn't be too big an issue. The sticky tape seems to be holding, (only time will tell if it stays in place). Not a bad little led (faux alarm) decoy though. Would recommend.
