As per another review, the metal contact strip for buttons was not present on new screen. Not much trouble to remove it from old screen and install on new. The big problem was it didn't work! Double checked all the little connectors on motherboard but no joy. Had to put parts back in old broken screen for now. Also the plastic spade tools in the little tool kit were so flimsy they broke off at the tips and the sim removal tool was too short!

Awesome! Took me 46 minutes with interruption. Two days later, couldn't hold it know more. Ran to the bathroom, getting ready to release and behold. Cell phone dropped in the toilet while I was relieving myself fir the carnage of holding it in so long. I tell ya, these years getting old is really a flight risk.

*Edit* July 9, 2024I've discovered something. This replacement display adds around ~1mm in height/thickness from the replacement frame. And the replacement display screen itself sits about 0.5mm higher. The original screen sits flush with the frame as mentioned in the original review. Picture of the dimension difference from an original damaged A14 5G and refurbished A14 5G phone using this replacement display will be included.It was odd because I got a case for this phone the case advertised a gap between the screen and the raised edge of the screen being 1.2mm but it was much closer. If you use a tempered glass screen protector from either this replacement kit or anywhere else it will make that gap even smaller. Be warned. I've lowered the star rating by one from four to three because of the change in physical dimensions that can be problematic for use with a phone case and it is not a phone case problem.************* Original Review Below *************First thing is check the display is glued in evenly around the plastic frame. If the display doesn't sit evenly around the frame don't bother with transferring stuff over and go and get it exchanged/replaced. The first display had this issue which was very easy to spot at the corners especially at the bottom. I didn't realize this until after I moved over the stuff that I noticed some backlight coming out around the front facing camera even after double checking the rubber boot. The second replacement was better, you could still see a bit of light but it did not affect the front camera. Pictures of the issues with the first display will be included.The one thing that seems to be different is with the replacement the display sits slightly below the frame which both the first and second replacement display both had whereas the original factory display sits flush with the plastic frame. No noticeable difference with touch sensitivity even with the protective plastic still attached. It's a cheap replacement for a budget phone.The kit comes with a lot more stuff than I used. Also included that isn't shown in the product photos is a glass screen protector.Just as you see in the product photo the replacement display assembly is very barebones so on top of the obvious things to bring over like the handset speaker and vibration motor you may see from a tutorial video you'll need to bring over a number of other things.All the things to bring over from the old display assembly:- Power and Volume buttons- Top speaker and fabric screen behind it- Top and bottom outside edge mic fabric screen mesh- Top edge hole covering sticker- Bottom speaker outside edge fabric screen mesh- Side edge simcard slot foam- Vibration motor- Internal foam support for bottom speaker- Internal foam support for center rear camera connector- Internal foam for top mic- Internal foam surround for speaker- Internal foam surround for bottom mic, USB and headphone jack- Various internal metal square fabric meshExtra tip:I found it was possible to bring over the complete battery pull tab sticker compared to a video I watched where they ripped it off the dotted line on the right side. Instead once you pull the battery out with tab "B" you can then pull the remaining sticker that's stuck to the back of the display assembly out. This allows easy future battery or display replacements.

I bought two of these and the first one was great about as good as should be expected with the price so I bought a second one since I had another screen to fix but after fitting all the components I realized that the contact strip for the power and volume buttons was missing.Looks like I got from two different batches in the time between orders but they both work fine. Just something to be aware of.
