Brilliant Fans
I purchased two of these fans a month ago and so far they have been brilliant.Installation and assembly are not too bad as long as you follow the instructions carefully if you don't you will have to re-trace some of your steps to get the correct assembly .The fans are very quiet and really powerful, putting out quite a breeze. The lights too have three different colours and are dimmable and are very bright ( better than expected). These fans are excellent for the money (£88) and look good . Great quality and very quiet ceiling fan.
If you don't like reading long reviews then here are the 'bullet points'. It's very quiet indeed and suitable for your bedroom. It's well made. All parts supplied including batteries for the remote. Specifications are wrong as given on this site as the Depth given should read 14" not 42". with shortest drop rod used (two supplied) and about 18" with the longest rod. Also the weight of the fan is more like 5Kg than 6. If you have not installed a ceiling fan before, take great care to study the instructions. This is NOT a reversible fan.OK here's the review in full. The fan was received well packed in a carton which belied the true size of the fan. I was impressed by the quality as I unpacked and examined the parts, which was equal to if not better than some of the better known makes. The ABS fan blades are light but rigid and better shaped than their wooden counterparts to move the air. I also realized that they would balance far easier. I have installed quite a few fans over the years, so the way things go together was easier to understand, however it has to be said that the instructions do leave a lot to be desired and unless they are well studied before assembly I can see some frustration on installation. I suggest finding a 'How to' YouTube video for those nervous about installing this or any fan. This was by far the easiest fan to balance due to the ABS blades. On the fastest speed, there is absolutely no vibration! and Yes! this is an extremely quiet fan. On the slow speed, which still moves a great deal of air, nothing can be heard. It is only on the highest speed that any appreciable motor or wind sound will be heard, and then it is acceptable. The operation of the fan is straightforward, although I do question the need to have a tone sound on pressing the remote keys. A lot was said on other reviews about the brightness of the light on this fan, and I must admit that as this was for bedroom use where we have bedside lamps, it was not a factor in our decision but I find that as it replaced the main ceiling light in the room, a bright light was more of an advantage for us.THREE WEEKS on.... We have discovered a bit of a problem with the fan occasionally turning itself on (full Speed) in the early hours. I suspect that it may be a spurious signal from another source triggering the remote control receiver. The range of the remote is unnecessarily quite immense (from one end of the house to the other!) I intend to cut off the little wire antennae to reduce the range... I will report further.

Value for money? Noise level and Airflow
After being on reduced wage due to furlough for a year, being off work for 3 weeks following a Stroke and now forced into self isolation due to a family member returning a positive PCR test. spending over a £100 on a fan when similar are available for a third of the cost was a gamble after such a long period of reduced cash flow. Was it worth it? Most definitely. The parcel arrived within two days and you notice that the box is definitely 6kg - upto a third heavier than its cheaper counterparts and extremely well packaged - everything inside has an allocated slot cut out of the polystyrene protective casing, unfortunately the plastic light diffuser had a small crack in its side caused by not being seated 100% into its allocated slot - which although doesn't prevent it from fitting or being used {this was the only issue I had} - I hope the customer services will be as good as the product and look to replace it.InstallationLaying out the contents and looking at the pictorial installation guide it was clear how the unit would fit together and be installed. Primarily you have five components, the blades, the motor and light body, The remote control receiver unit, the drop bar {comes with two lengths so you can decide how low you want the fan from the ceiling} and the ceiling bracket. After removing the original light fitting back to just three wires brown, blue and earth I screwed the ceiling bracket into the ceiling - fortunately picking up a joist with two screws and using cavity plugs on the other two. Secured the brown blue and earth cables coming out of the ceiling into the ceiling mount terminal block where indicated and from here on in wiring the motor and remote control receiver is done by simply connecting four pin plugs together. The blades simply push into the motor housing and one screw secures. the drop bar is attached by pushing a metal pin into two holes and tightening with a screw and then the drop bar and metal housing drops into a slot on the ceiling mount. At this point just connect the four pin plugs and job done. No holding the weight of the light unit whilst wiring up which is normally the case.Build qualityLooks and feels really good, even the ceiling mount has a pre-glued rubber pad so when its screwed tight to the ceiling will help counter any irregularities of the ceiling surface - i.e. stipple finish and I guess counter the movement or vibration, if any, from the fan movement being transferred through the unit. Everything fitted together easily, snugly and intuitively.Does it workOoh Yes. The unit has three speed settings, you will struggle to hear the motor on the first two and even on the third I believe all you hear is the airflow rushing over the blades. The light has two settings a bright white light and a yellow dimmer one. The remote control works well and has pre-set time delays. As the unit is being used in my bedroom the fact I wanted a motor that could not be heard whilst providing great airflow was the primary reason behind the purchase, yes there are cheaper ones but would I be able to sleep with motor noise - or awake with a headache after listening to a constant drone, I guess now I wont find out. At the end of the day you pay for what you get, i guess as the motor is noticeably heavier than cheaper models means its better quality? more powerful? will last longer - time will tell.

Fantastic Unit - Great Customer Service!
The unit is really well built and functions well. The remote feels solid and works at long distances. The six different speeds give you plenty of options to adjust the intensity, and the light is bright and warm.My setup meant that there were quite a few wires in my wiring loop, which made it difficult to fit the unit as there wasn't a lot of space for five cables. I was able to make it work, but some cables can be seen in the picture. It was a small annoyance but not anything the normal person would spot. Also, this particular problem is likely very uncommon; I only raise it in case you have a big loop and double light switch setup.I lost the remote within the first few days because I'm an idiot, but the customer support team was kind enough to ship me a replacement free of charge! For anyone wondering, the remote works in the 433mhz range, so if you're looking to turn this into a smart device, you can use an RF bridge to talk to the Home Assistant.
