Does not have gospel
This is a written review and philosophical take on this gospel. It is not the gospel itself. It repeats itself a lot in different ways, but there is also only so much information on here that we shouldn't hold it against the book.Really eye opening, well written.

Learn about Mary Magdalene through her Gospel, christian history and about female spirituality
I liked how the author simplified and underlined the most important teachings and points from the old Mary Magdalene Gospel. Plus his discossions and analysis of Mary Magdalene.I especially liked his last chapters where he told the readers what he had concluded and learned from the gospel.I also liked the author looked at the teachings in the gospel, the spiritual message, and not only on the part of her being a woman. I also liked those parts where he praised "female spirituality", and how everyone can grow from embracing it.I disliked that it was a bit repetitive. And it mentioned a "blog" which made me think the whole book was made of blogposts, which explains the repetitiveness.

If you are a fan of Dan Brown and the DaVinci Code nonsense this is for you. If you are a true Christian skip this forgery.

Interesting and Spiritual Insights
Author Jeremy Payton does an interesting and spiritually enriching job of looking at the issues and insights about Mary Magdalene. No matter your spiritual or religious experience, the book can add new perspectives to your own understandings of faith and Jesus. Too often we forget that our personal experiences can color our deeper understandings and opinions. The book may give you, as it did me, a way of finding depth and spirit. It gives a bigger picture of what it means to believe and follow.

Disappointing.
No a scholarly book. Disappointing bibliography is all online sources. The cover of the book reads, "AUDIO BOOK INSIDE." I ordered two copies of this book, there was no "AUDIO BOOK INSIDE" either copy. Lastly, book cover reads, "3 SUPPLEMENTARY CONTENTS INSIDE" ... oh really, what were they?

Interesting!
This enlightening book offers a fresh perspective on Mary Magdalene’s role in early Christianity, revealing her as a powerful spiritual teacher whose feminist gospel challenges traditional narratives and invites readers to reconsider her profound impact on the faith.
