Deviated Septum
As a person with a severe deviated septum and can’t afford surgery - this is amazing.

Strong Nasal Dilator
They spread my nostrils open but hurt. I probably need to find a smaller device.

No Thank You
I could not handle this in my nose for any amount of time. My nose is small and this was very uncomfortable. Would not recommend purchasing this.

Not long enough
It goes to one side while in the nostrils. I was hoping it would keep my nostrils open but one side continues to be stopped up.

Perfect for on the go
I wear breathing strips to sleep due to my constant allergies that swell my nose at night and those work pretty well for during the day. I prefer these for day wear since I wear makeup and this won’t take it off

Fell out while running
This tended to fall out when I ran and didn’t open the airway as good as the nasal strips. Comfort was fine but not functional. I only used it for running.

I can breath.
My right nasal passage is usually wide open while my left seems to be nearly close and when I sleep, being a side sleeper, depending on which side is up, is the one that air flows through. And since my right nasal passage is the one that supports maximum flow, I tend to sleep on my left side most often. I’ve tried breath-right strips and they do ok, but rarely stick well and they tend to cause a rash across the bridge of my nose, so I don’t use them anymore. As soon as this Airmax dilator came in I gave it a quick wash and stuffed it in my nose to see if it would work. At first it felt a bit too short, as I ordered the small, but so far it seems to do a pretty good job at opening my left nasal passage and I’m getting more air though that side now that I ever have. So much so that I think my right side passage may have gone on vacation. But seriously, for some reason it seems that my right passage is a bit restricted while wearing the dilator but I can breath fully without any discomfort. Usually cold air causes a bit of discomfort when breathing deeply through my nose, but with the dilator in, I haven’t noticed that effect. The instructions suggest wearing the device for 2 weeks straight to get used to it but at the moment, after wearing it for 3 hours, I’m starting feel a bit of stabbing irritation from the little spike that is apparently part of the “sport” model which is said to aid in preventing the device from falling out during athletic activities. It may just be due to my nose not being used to something pressing into it, so I’ll give it a few days to see if that sensation subsides. So far I’m liking it very much and am considering ordering the larger size to see if getting it deeper in my nasal cavity will free up the restriction imposed on my right side and maybe the spikes will be in a better position as well. If you have a nostril that doesn’t flow well and you’re tired of strips that don’t stick, you should consider one of these dilator clips.
