I was a bit apprehensive about buying online as sizing via this medium can be a bit 'troublesome' at times. So for the benefit of fellow bowlers I include the following information. I am 5 foot 11 inches tall and have a 46 inch chest and a 39 inch waist. I found that the extra large was a really good fit as it provide about 2 to 3 which allows freedom of movement when 'delivering' and if necessary for the addition of extra clothing on a 'normal' summers day in Scotland. It is lightweight, warm and appears to have a good zip fastening. Length wise it comes to just above the bottom line of the trouser pocket, so unobtrusive. It has two zipped pockets the inner made of the same material as the outer garment. The hood (fleece lined) is detachable via press studs and the jacket collar is high enough to prevent excessive water/wind ingress through any gap during inclement weather. While showerproof it is my intention to spray the jacket with additional proofing (just in case) . The price of the jacket is very competitive and delivery was the quickest I have ever experienced through Amazon (2 days). At this price this item is well worthy of consideration especially for those bowlers (such as I) who partake of the congenial 'hospitality' purveyed by fellow bowlers and who on occasion 'lose' or 'misplace' our outer garments. Having said that I suppose I'd better order another one !?! I hope this helps.

Very happy with my purchase as the jacket is great value and good quality for such a small price. It looked quite bulky when I took it out of the packaging but it's not, it's really lightweight, warm and comfortable. I bought mine in size large as I'm 5ft 8ins tall with a 43-44 ins chest. It's a good size fit on the body and arms for me as I'm a fairly average size, but for someone who's taller with longer arms you might find the arms are short as there's not a generous amount of length in them. Very quick delivery (2 days) and just what I was looking for. Would recommend.

Playing bowls

Very please with jacket though not worn as yet, hence the 4 star rating. No doubt with the British weather it will soon come into use. Very comfortable and cosy for the chilly evenings on the green, good fit, not restrictive and lightweight. Would recommend to other bowlers.

This bowling jacket is really lovely and well madeI've had to ask to return it because it is too large in the body. I'm hoping to exchange it for a small size. Then I will purchase a large one for my husband.Really good that it says its made in Britain
