Great Sprinkler
This is a great sprinkler. We now have three. I have been trying to get the correct fittings to join them up. However, this was not as easy as first thought. On the back of each sprinkler, there is a cap that can be unscrewed and a hose screwed on. However, the thread is not bsp(British Standard Pipe Thread), but rather NPT which stands for National Pipe Thread and is the american standard. The NPT has the thread at a different angle. I have since bought 3/4" NPT hose connectors. the original sprinkler,is probably over 20 years now and still going strong.

Be aware!
Contrary to reviews I read, I bought this in UK and it is beautifully made, sturdy, metal with brass connectors, good value for quality. BUT, I could not easily connect it to my hose .... I have a number of Hoselock and Gardena products for traditional 5/8" hose which are interchangeable. My equipment could not connect to this sprinkler and there was no advice provided as to what product needed to connect with hose.... Perhaps would fit with new collapsible hose range, but I don't have these. Have managed to find connector in a set of Tesmotor hose connector fittings although I only needed one of the 5 products in the pack. Chat line to Orbit did not have a solution. If there was a good high sprinkler option in the hoselink/gardena range I would return, but there isn't.....

If you buy this item you also need a male connection to connect the hose
It work well once you have the connection piece extra to buy

Do not buy in UK!
This is meant to be telescopic but collapses immediately when extended. I didn't even try to use it.Also it needs 3/4 inch fittings so expensive to attach to usual hose.However the really tedious bit is trying to return.Amazon was helpful, I followed instructions, took parcel to UPS receiving shop where it was refused.I needed paperwork that was no way available, and In Triplicate!The lovely person in Amazon Customer Services organised a Refund without the need to return the item,but I shall research Vendors very carefully!

Plastic fittings are weak and will snap immediately
They say brass fittings, but are weak plastic. First time pushing into ground the fitting from pipe snapped. Very flimsy product. Would not recommend.

Metal construction, I like the way it can be adjusted, gives a wide spray and includes the spot where the sprinkler is placed. A good buy,
