adidas Defender Iii Medium Duffel

I purchased this bag to use for the gym. I go in the morning before work, I shower and get ready for work there. I had a bag that I would stuff with everything I need to get ready for work, needless to say the bag eventually ripped because it was just too much for the medium size bag. I was in the market for a decent sized bag that would fit everything and this fits the bill. Its super cute pink but that's not the best part! It has separate compartments for dirty clothes and sneakers. I have to say at the moment I am without my new bag because my husband has to stay away for work for weeks at a time. He asked to borrow it for the first week but doesn't want to give it back because he likes it so much despite being heckled for using a bright pink bag. It is pretty large but it really is perfect for everything I need to put in it. With no problem it holds full change of clothes, boots, big fluffy towel, makeup bag, shower essentials with extra room. When I have it, I use it everyday and so far it shows no wear and seems like it will hold up well. I am very rough with it,I stuff it a small locker then drag it out again. I am going to buy him one in a different color and have also recommended it to my daughter. If you are on the fence,get it, you will be very happy with it!

This bag is perfect to use as a carry-on for a weekend or week trip. There's plenty of room in the main compartment. The side compartments has a decent of a space. While I the shoe compartment had a side that did not extend into the main compartment, I was able to stand up a pair of running shoes in it without a problem. The main straps for carrying the bag has a nice cushioned Velcro wrap. The shoulder strap is also comfortable and has a wide cushioned pad for the shoulder. All the zippers are sturdy and have bigger pull tabs that will stand up to years of use.The only minor drawback to this bag is the bottom side is just the same fabric as the rest of the bag. I bought a similar Adidas bag at Kohl's a couple years ago that has a rubber/vinyl coating on the bottom exterior that prevents any water from seeping into the bag. It's not a big deal, but it's a nice feature if you have to set the bag down for a moment on wet pavement or turf.Save yourself the money and annoyance of a clamshell carry-on and buy this bag. It holds just as much stuff (maybe more), is made to last, and you can fit it overhead storage bins on planes even when everyone is scrambling for space for their clunky roller bags.

I love this tote! I initially ordered the identical bag but mistakenly purchased the smaller model. I had to double check the measurements. After using the smaller bag for a day or two I realized for a gym tote I would need the extra room that this medium version provided. The size difference is not tremendous but the interior space is!I can easily fit a full sized hair dryer, flat iron, flat brush, round brush, makeup and toiletries totes, large shower towel, change of clothes, and at least two pairs of shoes. This had two large exterior zippered ends and it is perfect for taking all of my daily necessities back and forth to the gym.I needed a tote that I could put everything I would need to transition from my gym gear to professional wear in one place. I am easily able to pack this bag each night, and have everything I need it in to shower, change and dress for work without having to stop back at my house.It’s larger than a hand tote and the shoulder strap has an awesome padded slider that makes for over the shoulder carrier style much more convenient and comfortable.Additionally I am able to easily wipe this bag down and sanitize it each day after I take out my used gym clothes and towel. I have a zippered tote to put my used gym items in and so far this bag keeps everything separated and organized and my clean and dirty items from coming into contact with one another.I am very happy with this purchase and while the small bag was convenient for carrying, this slightly larger medium version of the same tote is a better option for me. Having the extra space and extra room was what made me make the exchange from the smaller to the medium bag.If you are an avid gym goer or need a tote for travel, this bag is ideal. It fits easily in the locker at the gym and fits nicely in either the back seat or the trunk of my car with plenty of room.The one negative and it’s not really a bother is that there is not a sturdy bottom piece for this bag. There is no fitted liner that holds the bottom to its shape and keeps it from buckling in to the center while carrying. Some bags have the form fitted plastic piece on the bottom to keep the structure of the bag in shape, and this bag does not have that form fitted piece so it does tend to ‘fold in half’ or sort of fold in onto itself while I am carrying it as it is completely soft sided without any structure pieces to hold it’s rectangular shape. But so far that is the only suggestion I would have to make this bag any better than it already is.

While this wouldn't be my preferred bag for traveling, I wish it had some sort of insert in the bottom, and the material is a basic canvas-like material that isn't going to rock your world...it will do what I want it to do. Just achieved sparring rank and needed something to hold my gear, weapons, and personal items for class while I wait on my expensive TKD bag that's on backorder.It fit chest protection, shin guards, gloves, headgear pretty much perfectly. I've got chucks and belt in one side pocket and personal items in the other side pocket. Not quite long enough to fully fit the combat bahng mahng ee, but only a bit of the handle sticks out. There is also a front narrower pocket that will be good for items I want to get to quickly before and after like keys, wallet, phone, etc. None of these pockets are padded though, so just be careful about knowing where something like your phone is so you don't smash it against something, or someone accidently kick/trip on the bag.Quality enough build to keep around for something else when I switch bags, but cheap enough that I won't be too worried if it wears out too soon or something happens to it. Didn't see many reviews related to using for martial arts, so hope this helps!
