CANNONDALE HEADSET

I have a 2014 Cannondale F29 Alloy mountain bike, and I needed to buy a new fork, but the headset wasn't compatible with the new fork (the stock headset was likely built for a Lefty fork). This headset was exactly what I needed; it allowed my bike to use a fork with a 1 1/8" to 1.5" tapered steerer tube. My head tube is a System Integration head tube, measuring an inner diameter of 50.9 mm top and bottom.This kit included: crown race, bottom bearing, top bearing w/ adapter, slotted compression ring, 3 plastic shims, and the dust cover. When installing the headset, I had to press in the bottom bearing and the top adapter (the top bearing sits in the adapter, no press fit) directly into the head tube. I used anti-seize compound, and I ended up not needing the plastic shims at all once I put it all together.This product worked great for me! If you're in the same boat with a Cannondale System Integration head tube wanting to run a fork with a tapered steerer tube, give it a shot.

Used to convert my Lefty fork (which kept breaking during races) to a rigid Whisky carbon fork. It worked great. Comes with the crown race and the upper headset bearing cup, so everything you need is included but your new fork.

This is a 52mm lower bearing, if you don't have SI cub, it will not work. On Cannondale bikes, the bearings don't go in head tube, they fit in SI cup. Thus, the reason they never mention bearing sizes like other bikes.

This wasn’t the headset that I needed but they quality is good! Smooth bearings and everything matched the description

Not kind leading to install the parts. There was nothing instruction to install and lack of some part. I needed to get an extra part to be completed.Not value for money…. Regretted
