Lovely quality ebony wood with quality workmanship. A pleasure to chop and cut vegetables on as the surface is smooth and hard. Not tried any meat or fish yet. Wouldn’t like to leave it standing on its two feet after wiping it down as it is heavy and if knocked would crash over. No problem for me as I hang it up to dry.

This is a beautiful Japanese chopping board that's exceptional quality.From the packaging to the board itself, everything is made with attention to detail. It's incredibly solid and heavy, and the solid wood just looks great.There are only two potential downsides. The first is that I'm going to have to invest in some high end Japanese kitchen knives now. The second is that it's almost too pretty to want to use it for cutting.
