DJI Spark Portable Mini Drone Alpine White (Renewed) (Standard Unit)

I bought this for my son as his first drone. This is a quality product that does exactly what they say it does. Within an hour of opening the package, he was flying it like an expert (having already gotten his FAA registration and permit). Within a couple of hours he had already taken stills of a sunset over trees and created a minute and a half video. It has created an interest in him to study not only drone flight, but both video and still photography and the use of perspective. A wonderful learning tool and not just a toy. I would recommend buying the bundle pack, as the extra batteries and controller only enhance the experience.

It’s working great so far! I have done about a dozen flights testing the limits of this drone and it has excelled. There was a minor scratch on the front, but for paying less than $250, I’ll deem that worth it.

Ordered this refurbished drone from the 3rd party camrise, and the drone didn't come with a battery. Luckily I had spares from my old spark. Drone would not sync at all, spent a week trying different configurations and tips, even called DJI for some help. Finally went to Best Buy and bought a new one and it synced immediately and I was flying 45 minutes later.On top of sending the drone back, I am currently on 6 days waiting for my refund from Camrise.......AVOID!!!!!

There wasn't a single mark, scratch, ding, or whatever ANYwhere on this Spark! As opposed to my original (which flew off @ just over 16 hours of flight time), this one came with the latest firmware already installed and good to go. All I had to do is charge the battery and bind it to the controller*. I had it airborne in less than 5 minutes after unboxing (using one of my other 3 batts of course). It came with a full set of extra props (new), and a 3.1 amp DJI USB smart charger that will also fast charge my Galaxy Note 4 (though not good for the battery). That was a nice bonus since I didn't have one yet, and I consider that $ in my pocket. At this price, I have no complaints whatsoever. Definitely beats the original $500 price these originally sold for.*bind procedure: power on Remote, then Spark > hold spark power button for 3-4 seconds till it beeps > hold pause, function and lower right hand button (below cam button) on remote for 3-4 seconds till remote beeps > Wait a few ticks till the lights change to normal and you're done! Note: if you own more than one Spark, this has to be done to switch from one to the other (everytime). Happy flying all!!!

The Spark is great fun and well-engineered and built. However, be careful which version of the DJI GO 4 app you use on your phone - and NEVER upgrade! - very few Android phones are supported, and unsupported phones eventually stop working with the more recent app versions.

I purchased the Spark drone and as you can see by the order it is a (Renewed) unit. The drone did not work correctly out of the box, it would not recognize a battery. I returned the drone and received a message from the seller that they are only refunding me 50% of my purchase because they said I kept a charger and cord from the drone. If you ever saw a case that the Spark comes in, you would know that there is no room for a charger, or cord. They then said it was a factory sealed unit, which is completely false. Its a renewed unit and it consisted of the drone and a battery, no more, no less. That was OK, because I've has Spark drones before so I have a central charger and batteries already. Long story short, they are keeping 50% of my purchase because its my word against theirs. My lesson, buy directly from Amazon and be wary of resellers. Amazon doesn't provide customer service for them and really only covers Amazon purchases. Don't make the mistake that I made!

I love this drone! It is the first one I've owned, so I didn't want to pay too much. That is why I bought a refurbished unit. It works great!

Got this refurb to replace a Holystone that I got for my birthday. The holystone worked once, not kidding. This drone was only a few dollars more, the ease of use and customer support are light years past Holystone. The refurb unit I got looks brand new. Flys great. I am just starting out and this is very easy to learn due to great videos and forums. The FAA even said I can use the same registration number since this is a recreational license. I took a backyard photo on my first flight yesterday.
