Awesome
The media could not be loaded. Absolutely love this. I went on vacation and was able to peacefully feed my fish without a worry. And it was awesome being able to see my fish live as well. The quality of the feeder feels really good as well.

Lose Connection and Cannot Use
Purchased in May 2024. Cannot get to connect to app. For the money to last less than a year not worth it. Also camera would only connect half the time.

Very nicely featured auto fish feeder once I finally got it set up
The media could not be loaded. Let me start by saying that I do have this feeder installed on a 20 gallon aquarium, and now that it's set up and functional, I'm very happy with it. However, there were some issues I had to work through to get it going.First, if you have a tank with a lid and a feeding port or opening, you can use a bracket that comes with the device to simply place the feeder on top of the tank, positioned over the hole, and it will feed into the tank. I do not have a lid, so I had to use the included bracket that uses an adjustment screw to clamp to the side near the top. The clamp is well designed and has a foam pad to allow for tightening it without scratching or marring a glass or plastic panel. However, it's best for rimless aquariums. The bracket is not quite wide enough to clear the width of standard aquarium frames. I actually ended up having to notch out some of the plastic frame, and then shim underneath the bracket so that it would mount flush; otherwise when tightening the screw enough to hold it in place, the feeder would tilt off angle and be nicely and vertically oriented. I don't expect any of this would happen on a rimless tank.Once I had it securely installed (see pictures) I installed the app on my phone to set it up. Note that without an app it's just a manual feeder. There is no way to configure it without using an app on your phone or tablet. The feeder comes with a USB A to C cable but did NOT come with a power brick. Make sure you have one handy before you set it up.I installed the app and registered my email address, and began the configuration process. The device powered on and entered configuration mode when I held down the sync button. The feeder was never detected. I made sure I was connected to a 2.4 GHz network (it won't work on 5 GHz) and that I was logged into the app properly. I tried several times, and also tried to set the device up manually. After half a dozen attempts I re-read the instructions. It noted that you need to use a USB power supply that can provide 2 amps. I had a multi-port charger that was supposed to provide that much per USB A port but apparently didn't, because when I used a USB C to C cable, although the indicator lights were exactly the same, it was almost instantly detected and set up properly. So, unless you have a high capacity USB A charger, you might want to just replace the included cable and use a USB C charger instead as they by convention provide higher output.Anyway, after this lengthy troubleshooting process I finally got it set up, and from that point on the device has worked flawlessly. I included a video so you can see how good the video source looks. I haven't even affixed the camera to the tank side yet and it looks great. I can feed my fish from my phone and check in with the app to see how they are doing. So, if you have a rimless tank, an available 2.4 GHz network and a high capacity USB power brick at your disposal, or you have a framed tank and are willing to do some work to make it fit, this feeder is very nice indeed.

Love this automatic fish feeder and camera!
The media could not be loaded. I have a 50 gallon aquarium and have had a timer based fish feeder for many years which worked fine, but I didn't know what i was missing out on until I got this feeder and camera. I love that this feeder is connected to wifi and can be controlled from the downloaded app so I can control feeding schedules, amounts and view history at any time from anywhere right from the app. But on top of it I am able to peek in on my fish from anywhere and I didn't think I would do that much, but now that I have it I find that I check in and watch them quite a bit and when I show others they love it too. I am very please with this feeder and camera and am very happy with it. I did have to change the type of food I am using because this does not feed flakes well, which is what I had been using for my current setup. I tried the flakes and it just clogged up even if I crushed up the flakes. But not a big deal, I just switch over to the granules and put in the smaller feed filter (included) and it works great. My only wish now is that I could access the video feed outside the app so I could stream it to a TV or something for fun, but that doesn't seem to be supported. Oh well.

nice features just does not work with Rimmed tanks or tanks with full lids.
One thing i will say is the camera is super nice and works great. It is super easy to use and set up. I like being able to look at the rainbows on my lunch break at work. the camera is easy to remove from the tank and reposition. The problem is the feeder. If your food is bigger than the head of an eraser on a pencil it will not work well in this thing. They give you two different openings a larger one the size i described above. Or a small one that i can only think of using to feed fry. It looks like 3mm dia. I get my food from Angels plus and i buy it by the pound. So i have very large flakes which are nice since i have fish that are over 13ins but they average around 3 to 5 in. The auto feed does have a super nice jam detector which i love they added. It does not help when the flake always jams tho.I have to spend a lot of time crushing my flake to make sure that it is the right size to go down the narrow shoot. This is not the first auto fish feeder that i have tried on amazon and they all seem to have this same problem, they make the feeder opening so small. To me it would only be worth it or a 10 or 20 gallon tank with a couple fish. Not a 72 bow with 30 rainbows in it. I wanted to like this so bad but it turns out to be a love-hate relationship.
