Use it for steak and is bery delicious

I thought I might try something different for a change so I tried the African rub set!There are 5 different rubs all packaged in re-closable tin containers. They have done a really nice job with the presentation of this collection of rubs. It makes this product very gift-able.The rubs all smell mouth-wateringly delicious with a variety of different flavors. So far we have tried the Peri-Peri and the African on a pork tenderloin. The Peri-Peri was my favorite. It had a spicier flavor to it and the African was more earthy and almost sweet flavor. Both were just rubbed with olive oil, then the spices. We let them sit for a short time and then cooked them on the grill.The Moroccan is similar to the African but with a little more citrusy scent to it and the BBQ, well smells like cooking BBQ, sweet and smoky! The Lamb has more of a "green" scent to it, you can really smell the parsley, thyme and oregano combination in this one. This will be great on Lamb!The only slight issue was that not all the spices were filled the same and the Lamb had a bit less in the tin then the others.Great gift idea for someone who like to grill and cook on the fire.Best By date of August 2026Made in South AfricaI would recommend this to someone who especially likes to cook on the grill!!⭐️ 1 star - I don't recommend it at all, poor quality, or it does not reflect the advertising.⭐️⭐️ 2 stars - I don't recommend it, it has multiple faults, or is not priced where it should be for the product.⭐️⭐️⭐️ 3 stars - It's passable. I love these seasonings! The BBQ one is my favorite but the others are so good as well. I had to play around with them because I am so used to my traditional seasonings.I used the peri peri and lamb rub on chicken and they really tasted like exotic entrées. The BBQ I used on a steak and it was so delicious. The BBQ tastes like authentic BBQ, not the watered down BBQ sauce you would buy in the store.The other 2, Moroccan and African, had a bit of a kick to them. I chose to use them in chicken and rice casseroles and they were not near as spicy as tasting the rubs raw (yes I tasted them right out of the jars). I guess the heat from cooking calmed them down, idk.I am so excited to have them and am planning to use them for new recipes because I really want to try new dishes with these rubs. I feel like they are pretty unique flavors and would be best to eat with meals that I normally wouldn't cook. I'm so happy I got this collection, thank you!

I'm reviewing NOMU African Spice Rub Flavours Collection, Pack of 5 Flavors including African, BBQ, Lamb, Moroccan, Peri-Peri, 55g each.What a delightful spice set. Each blend is in a distinct decorated tin and the set of 5 tins comes in a beautiful African stylized box.I ordered these to use, but they would be a lovely gift set as well. We tried the BBQ RUB on sautéed chicken thighs (see photos). The flavor was just delightful. My husband commented several times on how delicious it was and had seconds. I enjoyed it as well.The other flavors include Moroccan rub, lamb rub, African Rub and peri-peri rub. Some are hot and some are not, and some have more curry notes than others.The lid of each tin was shrink-wrapped to the tin making them tamper-proof. The best by date is May/31/2026 for the entire set.At a the current price of 24.99 for this set of 5 spice blends, that comes to $5.00 each which I find to be reasonable.As a side note, this NOMU African Spice Rub Flavours Collection is produced and packaged in South Africa.

I'm not a terribly creative cook and left to my own devices I'll do the same thing over and over again. NOMU African Spice Rub Flavours Collection helped me try some new flavors. Family loved the BBQ rub on some chicken and the African rub on pork. Nice and spicy with lots of flavor. You can tell these spices are really fresh!

Lovely set of rubs, would make a wonderful gift. I have not tried it as a rub but I have used it as a spice. I used the African blend to add to rice and beans, gave it a nice little kick and good flavor so I was very impressed with it.

This would be the perfect gift set for someone who is interested in African foods and spices. It comes with 5 different ones, like spicy or bbq to name a few. I’d recommend even if you want to get it for yourself, they are pretty good and a nice addition to our cooking spices .
