Great Taste - Add More Water If Too Sweet
I was pleasantly surprised! I'd seen a bunch of ads for this on social media and thought I'd give the brand a try as I wanted an easy, tasty way to add more protein to my diet to help manage my chronic illnesses. When I read the reviews, a number of folks mentioned that it was too sweet - but that's an easy fix by just adding more water. I even like to add sparkling water to it to make it into a soda!It definitely tastes like shop boba tea, and it mixed together really well, too. I'll definitely be trying other flavors!

A small aftertaste but very delicious.
This has made achieving my protein intake so easy in between meals. The flavor is sweet, you definitely get that lychee flavor but I also do taste a little bit of a beefy aftertaste which I assume is from the collagen. It doesn’t really bother me I feel like when I drink it iced it masks it a lot more. It dissolves very well. Don’t hesitate to try how amazing this product is!

Yummy
So yummy, great way to turn a water into some protein. I wish it was more protein than 10gs, and its only collagen protein so not complete for muscle building.

Very, very sweet
I will preface this with I love boba tea protein. I have been an avid fan for a few years now, and now that I’ve moved to a city with ONE (very bad) boba shop, I’ve been even more in love with my protein shakes. One thing I miss are fruit teas.. the slight bitterness mixed with subtle sweetness! I was very excited to get the strawberry hibiscus tea. However, it honestly is insanely sweet. And not just the Asian “it’s too sweet.” This legit tastes like sugar in a cup. I’m planning to steep jasmine tea and mix this in it, hopefully that helps with the insane amount of sweetness. The actual powder dissolves quite easily in warm water. I used a handheld frother because I find it mixes much better than a shaker cup.

Great taste
Trust me when I say to mix it with unsweetened Jasmine green tea.

Taste like protein drink - no tea flavor
No boba tea flavor at all - tastes just like protein powder. Wouldn't buy it.

Mango Scented and Flavored Drink Powder. Extremely Sweet. Sweetened by Sugar Substitutes
This review is for the Boba Tea Protein Collagen Powder (Flavor Name - Mango Green Tea). I received a free taxable sample of this collagen powder to review in my search for a way to incorporate more protein into my diet. The 507 grams of flavored collagen powder comes in a 6 ½” x 10 ½” resealable bag that uses two sets of dual teethed tracks to create a noticeably strong seal. A plastic scoop is included inside the bag which measures out a single 16.9 gram serving recommended to be mixed with 8-12 oz of water. Each bag contains 30 servings, and each serving provides 10 grams of protein as per the printed product information. The drink powder is a pale yellow-orange in color mainly derived from the turmeric coloring and there is a light flowery mango scent that becomes more apparent when the powder is dissolved in water. The powder dissolves fairly easily in cold water and over a little amount of time, although I would also consider first dissolving it in a small amount of warmer water and then topping it off with a generous amount of ice. There is an okay mango flavor to the drink that is mostly overpowered by the sweetness of the mixed drink. Even after mixing it with 12 oz of water I still found the drink a bit overly sweet to my taste and was also thrown off by the aftertaste from the sugar substitutes. Part of the sweetness I can see as naturally coming from the mango fruit powder, but I thought the sweetness was a bit overpowering to the point where I couldn’t really detect any of the green tea taste. With the understanding that sucralose and monk fruit extract are being used to minimize the sugar content in this drink, I would like to see a natural cane sugar or even a no added sugar option for those who prefer not to use sugar substitutes.Side note: what also threw me off was the labeling and advertising that this was some boba drink, in which case where are the tapioca pearls? All in all, this was an okay powdered drink mix with some mango accents but very much on the sweeter sugar substitute end of the spectrum. I recommend this as an option for getting more protein through your drinks for those who like their protein and diet drinks very sweet through sugar substitutes.
