Good Case
The detachable keyboard feels okay to type on, and the touchpad is responsive and accurate. The customizable backlighting is a fun touch, and the multiple viewing angles make it comfortable to use in various settings. The case itself is sturdy and protective, and the Apple Pencil holder is a convenient addition. I would highly recommend it.

The item felt thin and fragile. I sent it back.

Less Expensive But Heavier
Thanks go to the Amazon Vine program for sending me this keyboard. Since the official Apple keyboard for the iPad Pro M4 costs over $300, I never wanted to buy it. When I saw this one, which costs much less I figured it's just as good. I don't need a keyboard for my iPad for most of the things I use it for but there are occasions when it would be useful. This keyboard connected to the iPad Pro's Bluetooth very easily and the colorful backlit keys make it very attractive. I like that there are the function keys that some other keyboards don't have. There is also a slot below the iPad that holds my Apple Pencil. The keyboard is removable since it is held on by magnets to the case but in order for it to stay in place, there is a metal plate inside the case's cover that adds a lot of weight to the iPad.When using the iPad around the house, I will probably remove the keyboard which will save a little weight and know that I can attach it back on when needed.

Versatile keyboard case
The reason I was interested in this keyboard case was the fact that the keyboard is removable, but it came with a few other ups and downs.First off, the case is quite a bit lighter than any keyboard case I have tried with the iPad M4 13 inch. The removable keyboard is light and plasticky. That’s not a criticism, to be honest. This allows you to throw it in a backpack and use with any case of your choosing without feeling like you are carrying around a brick. It is also nice for those that plug their iPads into entertainment systems ( via HDMI dock) and want to control it from across the room. You can’t do this with cases that use the iPad for power. The keyboard also has a set of shortcut keys on the top row. Very nice! The only backlighting is nice, too. That being said, the trackpad is a bit slow. I have turned my pointer speed up all the way, but it’s still slower than other brands, but I still find it to be usable, but some may not like it. The keyboard also takes some getting used to. I have gotten better with it over several days of use, so give it some time if you initially have issues. The case is a nice soft material and looks like a professional portfolio. It has a few creases for a putting the iPad in few different angles, but it does not lean back very far, so don’t expect it to have the many angles of a Surface Pro or Logitech keyboard case. When shutting the case, it doesn’t appear to automatically shut off the iPad and the magnets in the part of the cover that folds over are not very strong. Therefore, the flap would move around, but it still stayed closed in my bag.Using it without the keyboard in tablet modes is pretty basic. You fold it back and it is soft and fairly light, in portrait mode, you can hand hold it and in landscape mode you can use it the same way you would use it with the keyboard. The keyboard attaches to the case via magnets and that seems to work well. All in all, I am happy with the versatility of this case. The removable keyboard is very useful for me since I dock it and use it with a monitor quite a bit. Also, this looks great in an office setting and closed up, I doubt you would know I was carrying an iPad.

Stylish and functional
Tested using the iPad Pro 13 (M4-2926, 2024)Very stylish, similar to some business folios, that protects your investment while also providing extra functionality. It does add significant weight to your iPad, but that is to be expected. It still weighs much less than a typical modern laptop. The magnetic keyboard is detachable or can remain in the case as needed. Keyboard has minimal tactile feedback, more would be nice but likely not practical for the size. Track pad is functional, I tested as a mouse strictly for pointing and selecting, not for zooming or dragging due to my own physical limitations. Keyboard is backlit and as bright as you select it to be, with colors chosen from a preset pallet of several and zone selectable (R, C, L). Standard cutouts for camera, speakers, and USB-C. Charges via USB-C, with an excellent battery that gets me through a busy day and has a long standby and dormant (switched off) time. It even has a secure space for your pencil, though it doesn’t allow for magnetic charging. I didn’t test to see if keyboard is as waterproof as claimed. All considered, this is a very well made and versatile add-on that offers protection against the usual bumps and scrapes in backpacks and briefcases. It offers the functionality of an office or student laptop without the added weight and need to carry a large power adapter everywhere. Can be easily charged via any source the tablet uses. Connects via Bluetooth very easily.HIGHLY RECOMMENDED
