Diatomaceous Earth, Freshwater Amorphous Silica (14.4 Ounce)

Have used diatomaceous earth for years to deter ants, stink bugs, and other types of insects. Harmless to humans and pets. Warning: don't buy this product packaged in a plastic bag - the sharp edges of the tiny, tiny particles cut the bag into shreds eventually. I was delighted to find it in a hard plastic container that makes it easy to dispense and close tightly.This year 5 stinkbugs showed up "hiding" in one of the grooves at the bottom of a window screen. I carefully picked up each bug and put it in a small bowl filled with DE to coat them - the DE pierces their exoskeletan so they eventually dehydrate and die - then threw them back into the garden and dusted the screen groove with the DE. No stinkbugs since.It's a bit messy but well worth it!Highly recommended.

Very fine and consistent but it also mixed well without clumping. I used it to make environmentally-safe abrasive paste and it functioned very well in that application.
