Great all the way around

The product description says 100% cotton, but then later says cotton and linen. The tag says (in Japanese) that it's 85% cotton, 15% hemp, which is even better than 100% cotton. It should be more breathable, durable, and dry faster than 100% cotton, plus hemp is eco-friendly and sustainable. The pinstripe texture of the fabric is similar to the jinbei I bought in Japan long ago, which gives it little ridges and increases breathability. It's a little scratchy at first but gets softer with wear and washing.I bought two jinbei on Amazon recently since the one I bought in Japan many years ago has seen better days. This one is far better than the one from the other seller. The quality is better than expected for the price point, and it arrived a little earlier than expected. Worth the wait. Sizing for me was accurate. It does looks just like the photos. Three pockets in the shorts and one pocket in the top is much more than you usually get with this type of traditional wear, so that's a big bonus for practicability. I'm looking forward to putting it to good use on the hottest summer days and nights.
