Patients are a virtue.
It's a nice bed for the price. Putting it together is difficult because a few of the boards are warped. The instructions are vague, a lot of guessing.

Mostly great!
I wasn’t 100% sure about this bed before I bought it, but we have a very small room that needed a bed and it seemed like a great space saving solution. It definitely is, but I wanted to leave a review because there were a few things I wish I had known before I bought it.First of all, it comes in three gigantic/super heavy boxes so we really appreciated the Amazon delivery guys for getting it in the house for us. Luckily I didn’t have very far to move it as the bedroom is pretty close to our front door. Ours was missing one piece (I think it was E2) of the bookshelf, which was really frustrating because I had it otherwise all ready for a guest to use and I didn’t want to attach it to the wall without having the bookshelf attached first. The phone number listed for the company wasn’t in service for some reason, but I was able to email them and they sent me a whole new (gigantic) box that contained the replacement part, so I was able to fully assemble it in the end. Now we have a bunch of random parts that we have to figure out what to do with, but I’m not really complaining. I’m just glad they were able to resolve it for me. Amazon customer service said if for some reason the company wasn’t able to get me the part that they would send the box themselves. I guess it’s impossible to order individual parts. One thing I found out is that you cannot open it effectively without having it bolted to the wall (when I tried it fell on me so be warned! Oops). I also discovered that the brackets they use to attach it to the wall will only work if you don’t have a baseboard, so we had to get pretty creative and use some pieces of wood to make up for the extra space. It still functions correctly, but it did take away from the look of the bed when open. The silver screws are also a lot more noticeable in person, I think, than in the online pics. and there are a lot of them on the front of this bed/shelf. But one good thing I discovered was that we were able to use a deeper mattress than what the measurements listed online.Overall I’m glad I did buy it and it’s a good value for the money, but it was incredibly difficult to put together as I didn’t really have any help most of the time. The instructions did say you’re supposed to have four people to assemble it, but I just didn’t have that luxury. So it took me a really long time and I did mess up quite a bit.I scoured the internet prior to purchasing and did find one review where somebody mentioned it was easy to put together using the picture instructions. So it could be just me, but I found it super easy to accidentally install certain pieces with the wrong orientation as I only had the pictures to go by. I did have to redo a few portions of the bed when I discovered that I had put the previous pieces together incorrectly, but again, it could just be me. I’ve had the same issue with other self-assembled furniture purchases in the past. Frustrating!I’m just glad it’s finally together and usable. And that it fits in the room (just barely)! I knew it would take up a lot of the wall space in the tiny room, but I failed to think about clearance between the ceiling fan and the part that swings up and down. It just barely clears the fan. I got lucky there, phew!Last thing, I got lazy when taking the pictures for this review so keep in mind that it does close fully, even though you can see a gap in the picture when closed. I just closed it with the comforter and pillows still on the bed lol.

Works Well
The bed works well. The instructions aren't too precise but, the video links help a lot. One of the confusions with the instructions is the attachment of the bed to the wall. They have the frame attached to the wall early in the instructions (once the frame is built) but, the video shows them attaching the pistons for the bed by walking behind the frame. Can't do that if the frame is attached to the wall! You might be able to attach the pistons after the frame is attached to the wall but, that it could difficult getting into that tight space.
