Van Gogh: His Life & Works in 500 Images

This book exceeded my expectations! There are tons of large bold photos of paintings and for each painting there's a description. This book is also part biography, which I found so interesting. The book is divided into sections based on where Van Gogh lived and painted. He had started painting in his native country of Holland, he then moved to London and eventually to France. I found it interesting how Van Gogh's colors became brighter and bolder once he moved to France, especially to Provence. I have seen some of the paintings featured in this book in person in museums and the colors look just as vibrant in this book as they do in person. I have always loved art and a couple of years ago I started painting. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and I highly recommend it!

Beautiful

This is a beautiful book filled with illustrations of Mr. Van Gogh’s works as well as those of other artists of his time. The story of his life is fascinating and told with love and respect. A book that not only looks great on a coffee table but is an engaging read.

This is such a beautiful book! Amazing pictures painted by Van Gogh and it describes the paintings too and the history of Van Gogh too. Not just a coffee table picture book but stuff you will actually learn. 10/10 recommend

This book is beautifully written nice size to really see his paintings. The book also tells you the story of his life. It's a beautiful book at a really great price! Love it.

Nice photos but I wish that some photos were larger.

Nice size and illustrations are good quality. Covered a lot of interesting history from Vincent's birth to death.
