Good value that is worth it even with some product flaws under the right conditions
As a disclaimer, I have bought the more expensive 14GA 40" hammer in place edging in the past in areas next to grass which I still recommend. I actually used this product to edge within a flower bed between dirt, stone, and mulch section. The final result turned out great at a substantial savings. It is easier to free form but overall harder to work with than the 14GA edging. I used a straight edge shovel to form a trough where I could place the edging and then backfilled (no hammering in place). It bends easily, but I was able to straighten by placing a flat surface on one side and using a large rubber mallet on the other side similar to pounding out a dented fender. I bought the 33' long roll and the first part of it rolled out nicely but as I got closer to the end it is wound so tight that the last 10' is wrinkly. The manufacturer should wrap the product around a cardboard core with a diameter sufficient to eliminate all or most of the wrinkle problem.

Not easy to use. Creased to easily

Tapped it in...
...carefully using a short 2x4 along its edge and a mallet after making a spade line for the edging to go into. Tapped it down evenly Used a hand metal press to straighten certain spots. Took some time but nice looking.

Deep, but thin. And no stakes
I have been doing a ton of landscaping recently for my folks. And as such, I have been testing different edgings and stakes. This one had promise that fell a bit short. It is quite thin, with sharp edges. It can't be hammered without bending, so you need to trench to place it. It has no stakes, so you will need to find some elsewhere. And, be prepared to hammer out some kinks before you get started. Additionally you might need to roll down the upper edge, or add a rubber edge cover. One note: I loved that it was already rusted, as I plan for that in the design, and don't have to protect against it. lol.

Stiff, permanent, it takes work
Measures true, at 5.5 inches wide, and 3/8 inch fold on one side, and correct length. Probably 1/32 inch, 6.6 pounds. Be ready to put a lot of effort into straightening this. Video on youtube “How to create corten curved steel edging on site” helps give a sense of how to handle it, but keep in mind you are straightening a 16 foot roll. Lots of work, and you need to straighten, dig, and get the contour right for the whole length you’re installing, all at once – that’s not an easy task, it needs patience. If you want the look of perfectly straight, I’d say try another kind of product (straight sections, which cost twice the price). Don’t know how I would cut it if I had to – lots more work with a hacksaw, I expect. Comes just as depicted (pre-rusted – a bit messy, but not obnoxious).

When installed for a strait line, it bends in multiple places, leaving gaps.
this product looks great, but if you want a strait edge, it bent in multiple places. Hight and color are good for garden edging .

This is some serious edging!
I have not yet installed this edging because it's nearly 100 degrees out down south where I live, so it will have to wait for Fall. I'm super impressed by the quality! The box was extremely heavy and the edging looks to be of commercial quality. It is nice and wide and will sit deeply when installed.I'm looking forward to not having to re-dig my natural edging every other year. This product will eliminate that need.
