My condo has lots of recessed ceiling LED lights which are of very poor quality. They are not bright plus they burn out quickly because of poor installation, often w/o anchor boxes in ceiling. I bought 10 of these multifunction LED lights to retrofit the failing recessed lights, and for a consistent look across rooms where I couldn't fit or didn't want a fancy, decorator flush mount light. They were super easy to install! After learning the first one, they took about 10 minutes each to install. We simply took out the old recessed light, however it was installed, and screwed in the new round mounting bracket, which also includes all the wiring. This covers the old recessed hole and any poor prior installation. You set the new light for 3, 4, or 5,000K upfront, and if you want the light to first come on in full or night-light mode (don't worry, its super easy to change later). The full fixture then simply rotates and locks into place! A few times there was a slight shadow so we unscrewed it to make sure the ceiling mount was really tight so the attached light was fully flush. Then you turn on your normal wall light switch (no dimmer), once, twice, or three times to get each light mode (full light, night light, or both). I set mine to start in night light mode in case I was only getting up at night to "use the facilities." That light comes out of the sides, shining upwards, leaving a nice light pattern on the ceiling. A second or third flick off and on of your standard light switch gets the other modes. If you leave it off a few minutes, it resets to your default, so no guessing or playing around to get your choice next time. These lights are very low profile, despite being flush mount, so we had no problem installing them in rooms with ceiling fans or if there were other decorator lights. They are very bright, so I used one in my bathroom as the main light. Warning, they are actually very, very bright. You can see to walk around in the night light mode (2,500K) so maybe too bright for some people to sleep too all night (not me). (I'm typing this review on my laptop now with just the night light mode on.) I tried 5,000K in my kitchen, which was way, way too bright, like for a workshop or office, so I reset that to 4,000K, which is fully bright enough for food prep and handling knives, even at night with all other lights off. In all my other rooms I used the lowest setting, 3,000K, which is still very bright. Overall, these lights really solved a problem for me with poorly installed recessed lights, in a new generation of lighting where the LED light is fully integrated into the light fixture so the whole thing needs to be replaced every 5 to 10 years. I would also install them wherever you didn't have room for recessed lights and do not want a high profile ceiling light, or don't want to regularly replace light bulbs (these whole fixtures cost the same as two nicer LED screw in bulbs). They promise to be very energy efficient, so even better. Well recommended.

Ce plafonnier est vraiment simple et magnifique. Les 3 modes foncionnent (je n'ai pas pris de photo avec le plafonnier uniquement sans le soleil parce que.. c'est une lumière on comprends le principe). Notre préféré c'est vraiment le soleil sans le plafonnier ouvert (première photo). Facile d'installation. Je recommande !

Put this in the smaller bedroom for kids. The light works from the light switch to chose options, the best children bedroom lighting I've ever seen/used. It is funky fun!
