good sata drive
better than a mechanical drive. it's only SATA but more than enough to run windows. I purchased this to replace a mechanical hard drive on a very old laptop. I was able to fit it into the case of the laptop and install windows. It's only sata so around 550mb/s but more than enough for an ageing laptop. after i got everything installed the bottleneck on the laptop went from a slow hard drive to the 6th gen intel cpu thats holding it back. at a low discounted price this was an easy purchase to get an old laptop working at a useable condition until I can just replace the whole thing.

Cheap, flexible storage
I have a number of Kioxia micro SD cards for my drone and DSLR and I've had no issues with any of them so I was happy to buy a Kioxia SSD.I bought the drive to speed up my old laptop but it's not just suitable for that I've also used an SSD as additional storage by putting it in a USB case.I used a USB adaptor to prepare the drive and create a fresh Windows installation before copying the important files to the new drive but I could have simply cloned the original drive, or partition, to the new drive using free software available from Clonezilla, Macrium or Acronis. It gets more complicated if the new driver is smaller than the original drive but that can usually be overcome by resizing and copying the partition. The new SSD drive is so much faster than the original HDD.. I realise that this isn't the fastest SSD available but it suits my requirements at a price I was willing to pay. Other than being faster, a SSD uses less power, produces no noise and less heat. The original drive can be kept as a backup and installed into a USB case for a fiver.

No complaints, good price / performance
Good little unit (105mm long), I'm putting a pair of these into a RAID NAS.Speeds shown are after formatting as NTFS. Tested using the included USB-A cable into a 3.0 port, so these sequential speeds are close to the limit of the bus (5000Mbit/s on 8b/10b encoding). Still need to find a device with a high spec usb-c port to see if the full 1050/1000 claimed is possible.

It is OK
Cheapish, both in price and performance. I have been a long term user of Integral P series ssd and thought to give Kioxia a try.It works, however I don’t know for how long.Replaced a hdd in an iMac 4k 2017, as result it boots faster than a spinning hdd. As to file transfer SPEED, while using it with Ventura OS, It is the combination of both the latest Mac OS (very very snappy) and use of a ssd, makes it appear to transfer faster then Mojave OS.FINALLY REMEMBER THAT TRIM NEEDS TO BE ENABLED IN TERMINAL FOR 3RD PARTY SSDS ON MAC.

Surprisingly very good.
So I bought this drive feeling a little unsure as didn't recognise the brand so was worried its a cheap clone that will be super slow.....it came with everything needed to install its been very reliable and speed wise it really is good ill definitely buy another for any more laptops I repair

So far so good
So far so good. I am using this in a PS4 to replace the 500gb HDD. Which is slow and noisy. If your looking to do the same just check YouTube for instruction videos. Plenty of them about. After installation of the SSD you can immediately notice the difference it's much speedier running games. And no mechanical HDD noise now. Am not sure how long it will last only time will tell. The company has links to Toshiba who I respect. I've got a Toshiba 1tb drive which I use for backups and it's still going strong after a good few years.UPDATE 6th March 2025So after only 3 months this SSD died on me, wouldn't load in my PS4 and when I tried it in my laptop it wouldn't recognise it.
