Rain BirdTRU4I Program-Based Indoor Irrigation Sprinkler Controller/Timer, WiFi Ready, 4-Zone/Station

I replaced a 15-year-old rainbird controller with this new one. It took me about 15 minutes total with a Phillips head screwdriver and pencil including putting in new holes because it is smaller than my old one. Make sure you account for the length of your wire when putting in a new one, as you need to allow a smaller unit to reach your wires for an indoor installation. It was easy to program and after several tests, I determined that it was functioning correctly.

This was easy to install, replacing a very old controller, and seems to be working great.

Easy to install and easy to program. Works flawlessly! Now we can rest knowing our property will be adequately watered, even if we are not home and also at a time of day that won’t interfere with other water supply needs.

First, the customer service is outstanding.. very simple instructions to follow very impressed with this product, the only upgrade I would like to see in the future would be a light so if I’m checking the system at night to see if it’s set properly, a light would be there on the board and I wouldn’t have to use a flashlight

Reasonable price and easy to program

Unit works well, but the WiFi can be a bit flakey. I had to put a WiFi extender near the controller even though I had 2 out of three bars WiFi signal on my phone, as an example. Now it works great and I can control it from anywhere even when on vacation.

Replacement for a 30+ year controller and a 15 year controller It went in perfectly and seems to work well. Easy to program, especially compared to the old controller.

Not wifi ready. It requires a $90 accessory to be wifi ready.
