Perfect for petit person
Like any backpack, the most important thing is what you need it for. I've read that some people think this backpack is small. I'm 5'3" and 143 lbs., so this bag is a perfect fit for me. I don't see myself lugging around a huge bulge on my back, and Latin American airlines are very strict about the size of hand luggage, and this bag complies with the regulations, so this backpack has a double benefit for me.

Excellent backpack
This backpack has it all. Plenty of interior storage, which can be compressed down. Plenty of zipper pockets for everyday items. It sits well on my back as a taller guy. Glad they had black color in stock, the other colors are a bit loud. Handles on top and side are a nice touch. Can't wait to get many years out of this backpack. Highly recommended.

Fantastic backpack to carry your stuff and kid's stuff
I was looking for a new backpack to take on a cruise with my husband and 3 kids (8 years, 5 years, and 16 months). As moms well know, we end up carrying everything from our children and I needed something that had enough space to hold stuff and that would be comfortable enough to wear for the longer day trips in the cities off the boat. Not only was it so comfortable to wear but it also held my plane needs, the two iPads for my older kids, baby books and toys, my computer and snacks. Normally, I would feel very weighed down by these but this backpack distributed the weight so that it didn't feel heavy at all. I am actually kind of sad that I don't have another trip coming up because I want to pull out this backpack to use again.

For a lifetime of use
My 4th Osprey pack purchase over the years, and maybe the best color-wise. These Osprey packs are tough, I've had 2 over the years that been my daily drivers. My first one, which I returned for repair, was exchanged by Osprey for a free new pack, based on the lifetime warranty - and that was about 15 years after it was first purchased. These things last and last.

Good travel pack!
I purchased this bag and the Osprey Daylite 26+6 to see which one I liked best, this bag won hands down. If you're looking for smaller bag than the 26+6 would be a good option, but I preferred the 35L for a few reasons. First, it's larger and I tend to use my carry on as my main bag while traveling with all my cloths, this bag gives me a little more room for a few extra items. Second, the laptop compartment in the Osprey 26+6 is accessed only from inside of the bag, meaning that you have to open the bag, where all your cloths and items are, to pull out your laptop. Normally not a big deal, but if you're in line at the TSA and they tell you to remove your laptop then you need to crack your bag open and dig past your nicely packed cloths inside, then you'll have to do the same to stuff it back in there as well. The Daylite 35 has the laptop compartment separate from the main compartment, with it's own zipper, much easier to access quickly without disturbing anything inside the main compartment. Third, both have side pockets for water bottles or other storage such as a tripod, but the Daylite 35L has compression straps on the sides as well. The benefit to that design is that I can stick my tripod or trekking poles that are longer and lash them down so they won't fall out of the side pocket. I'll add that there is one more difference between the two bags, the Daylite 35L has the ability to tuck the shoulder straps into the back of the bag and out of the way, the Daylite 26+6 has fixed shoulder straps that cannot be tucked away. I doubt I will use that feature but some may carry the bag by it's handle instead so that gives you the opportunity to move the straps out of the way.All in all I'm very happy with this bag! I own an Osprey daylite hiking bag that has taken a beating, so I expect this will hold up as well under less abusive circumstances. I will say that the smaller Daylite is a great bag as well, this one just had a few more feature that benefited me more.
