At first, seems to be good quality.
The media could not be loaded. Just got the arkantos pilates chair. Shipping was fast and package was fine. One of the pedals came with a chip in the wood ( see picture). Lets see if it holds well. So far, assembling was not too difficult , took me a couple hours, they provide all the tools. It seems to be sturdy . I will try it for a few weeks and update my review.Update: after a week, one of the pedals stared making annoying noise in the hinge. I added wd4 but didn’t work. I contacted the seller. Waiting for their reply.

Love this pilates chair
I've been looking for a Pilates chair but, frankly, I don't want to spent $800 plus dollars. That's a ridiculous price for such a simple thing. When I saw this one I snarfed it up quickly. I think it's better than the one at my trainer's gym. This Pilates chair has 4 springs (more on this at the end) and it splits (more on that at the end) too. I highly suggest you do what I did for the springs and the split foot (below). This chair is far better than I ever dared to hope it would be.My spouse, my son and I all had fun putting this together. It's a simple build but having someone else (2 someones, actually) made it fun and even easy. All the screws, nuts, bolts, etc are well marked and are even separated out (they all come in separate pouches that are all connected.) Having them separate was a nice touch! They also include extras of the ones that you use most of the time. Having a ratchet with a 10mm head made assembly quick and easy. I didn't need a drill. I own one but the ratchet could fit where a drill might not.Springs: It took a LOT of strength to move the springs up a down on the vertical spring holder in back, more strength than I want to exert on something that should be quick an easy during a workout. When I accidentally popped out one of the plastic pieces trying to get it on, I grabbed a flathead screwdriver and quickly did the same to one end of the other 3. Without the plastic inside on that end, they're easy to move up and down on the spring holders in back but never slip off. I highly recommend doing it.The split foot: The bar that holds the split foot together comes pre-assembled on the two wood foot pieces. The whole assembly for that bar is: the bar itself; two flat plates (one on the back of each wood foot piece); and 2 knobs that screw into the flat plates which hold the bar in place. It's a nice mechanism, but the screws that hold the black plates onto the wood foot piece get in the way of the bar they way the factory installed the screws and nuts (with the heads on the top side of the wood foot piece and the nuts on the side with the bar and knobs) making it impossible to move the bar without completely unscrewing both knobs. That's a pain. It should be quick and simple, but it wasn't. So, I flipped all 4 screws on each plate so that the tops of the screws are on the 'plate' side of the wood foot piece (underneath) and the bottoms of the screws and the hex nut protrude on the top side. ** I highly recommend moving one screw at a time as the plate will come up and be difficult to hold in place while you try to mess with the screws and nuts. Take it from me and only flip one at a time. It will take far less time and be much easier.) ** After I did that, it was quick and easy to move the bar without having to unscrew both knobs completely. I covered the protruding ends with 10mm hex nut covers (here on Amazon) so it looks nice and I won't run the risk of scratching myself... just in case.

Great product in this price point
What should other customers know? Understand that what you are ordering is a substantial piece of equipment that arrives in a box the size and weight of a Shetland pony. I am terrible at assembly and this was relatively easy, although there were a few screws left over and some of the drilled holes indicated on the directions weren't on the wooden pieces. (It still seems pretty sturdy though.) Here's a thought: how about putting the directions in with the nuts/bolts bag rather than have them free in the box? Also, including a QR code to some videos showing beginning exercises wouldn't be bad either.

Don’t waste money and time. Holes not drilled to align in multiple pieces!
Wow tons of time to put this item together and holes are not properly predrilled to align, the chair top didn’t even have any pre-set holes like their instruction manual showed. Waste of time and money. Hopefully I even hear back from the seller.

Issue with springs
Overall great product, especially for the price. However, the springs are almost impossible to attach unless you cut off the inner plastic ring. A pair of utility scissors did the trick.
