Really Loved This Game
Have enjoyed the games of Quantic Dream and David Cage, (Heavy Rain, Beyond Two Souls), but feel things really came together on this one.Not every game needs to be a first-person shooter, not every game needs to a RPG. There is room for many types.Despite many reviews marking this down due to its choose your path nature, that is what David Cage and his talented team at Quantic Dream do and do extremely well. An amazing and deep storyline told with finesse and emotion, presented with outstanding visuals. All the actors in the game are wonderful.Found myself concerned for the outcome of each character in the game.Purchased this game at release, but only had time to play / finish it recently. Although it's been weeks since I finished it, still thinking about it. Really great game.

Fun choose your adventure type game
This review is for the PS4 version.Although I have not played the previous games from this game studio that includes Fahrenheit, Heavy Rain and Beyond: Two Souls, Detroit Become Human, makes me want to go back and explore those games to see what I missed. In a game that reminds me of one of my favorite movies, the original Blade Runner, it has that kind of look and feel that almost makes me feel like I am Decker in a new story. In this case, you play multiple characters throughout the story, including a Decker-like negotiator for the police force. The graphics are well done and detailed with its futuristic landscape of Detroit with a story that really depends on the choices you make with the various characters throughout the game. Having just completed AC: Origins, this game feels slow paced and the game controls a bit clumsy as compared to what I was used to. To be fair though, this is that type of game, similar to Life is Strange, among others, where the game focuses more on choice you own adventure type story more than action and being an open world game. The game has good voice acting and the music and background provide for good atmosphere. The game is a bit linear as you don’t really have much freedom to explore other than the immediate area that you are in. A big red “do not go here” type banner keeps you from wandering too far.Early on, I found the story to be compelling enough to keep me motivated in playing. The game starts fairly slowly though with various mundane tasks to do in the opening scenes. Some camera movement is a bit finicky and as I previously mentioned, find the game controls to be a bit sluggish and clumsy. Although the game is a bit short, maybe 10 hours of gameplay, by the end, I had become emotionally invested in the story and the characters. The game really has a good story that could be made into a movie, one that I would watch. With that being said, this game is a nice change of pace from my frantic searching for quests in the AC series and it has interested me enough to go back to play the previous efforts from this game studio. If you like the previous efforts such as Heavy Rain or games like Life is Strange, then this will keep you occupied for a while, exploring the various choices and differing stories that those choices result in. There are some many game variables, that your exact experience and story may be unique from anyone else’s game.4 stars

Floored....and then blown away
I love story-based games. I live for them! This game is at the pinnacle of storytelling. I’ve never felt so much pressure to make choices in a game before. The outcomes are always beyond your comprehension. I cannot wait to play through it again and make completely different choices to see how things pan out!Graphics are super intense, especially if you have a 4K tv and a pro!The gameplay is a little confusing at times, but it’s not so bad to become a turn off.Sometimes the camera angles can be frustrating, but again not so bad.If story is your forte, then you would be doing yourself a great disservice by not buying this game!

Great game with amazing graphics
The media could not be loaded. As you can see in the video I provided above, this game has crazy realistic graphics! Also, there are so many choices for you to make, it feels like you are never completely finished with the game (there are so many endings and possibilities). Loading screens? where? because the loading time for the game is that fast. Every storyline you choose is extremely entertaining! I didn't hear much of anything about this game before I bought it, but I am so glad I did because I have been playing it non-stop since thanksgiving.
