It really means a lot to me to use a laundry detergent which is safe from chemicals and other things, which might raise a red flag from a caution standpoint. Considering that clothing, sheets, towels, etc. are in such close contact with our bodies for all hours of the day, I want to be as safe as possible. I had been using Myers and Seventh Generation, which are a bit more expensive than the Tide detergents ... but after doing several hours of research on different sources which test and explain ingredients, I was surprised to find out that even the 'so called green' detergents used ingredients with possible scary effects.Molly's detergent was ranked the highest from a safety standpoint compared to the others, on several different sources, so I decided to give it a try. The elephant in the room is that other, than The Laundress, it was the most expensive brand I saw. I bought the biggest jug, which gave a little savings, but it still costs 3 - 4x what the average laundry detergent costs.One thing I am really frustrated about is that the measuring system is very difficult. As this is ultra-concentrated, a little goes a long way and for really dirty laundry, the recommended amount is somewhere between the cap being 1/4 to 1/2 of the way full. The markings get totally lost in the cap's design and it is almost impossible to figure out exactly what level to pour in the cap. At this price, there should be markings which stand out on the cap because wasting any of this precious liquid can get expensive.Things I really like about this:- The scent is so fresh smelling and understated. You'll know its there ... but it isn't overwhelming..i wear expensive cologne and I am glad this scent doesn't overpower the cologne scent. The Myers Lavender detergent I used to use which had a weird sort of 'sour' note to it. It bothered me throughout the day and eventually my closet started smelling that way. While Molly's does have a sweet sort of scent, it is fresh and clean, although I would never guess 'ocean mist' was the scent ... it smells more like fabric softener.- It seems to get my clothes a little cleaner than other detergents I've tried, such as Myers or Seventh Generation. I notice my towels are less stained and my whites don't look as grimy. Of course, this won't ever compete with a detergent like Tide ... but the health benefits of not having all the chemicals outweigh the performance for me. As long as the clothes don't smell out of the washer.I feel more comfortable with Molly's detergent's high ratings when it comes to safety ... and trust me, I've done a lot of research on that. The high expense of this is worth it to me ... while not a great value, it works well and isn't loaded with chemicals. I hope they redesign the cap to make it easier to read ... but beyond that, I'll stick with this. I hope my honest review after buying and using this product were helpful to you.

I'm a happy customer! The smell is so fresh and clean smelling, not overwhelming. My clothes always feel so clean after I use this soap. I love the bottle because it's not to bulky and fits perfect in my cabinet. I love that it is free of harsh chemicals. It's a little pricey but it does last a long time so it's worth it. I will always have this in my laundry room cabinet. The best!

I love this soap! It rinses clean (no residue on my clothes) and the scent is mild, not over powering. Clothes come out clean and soft without fading colors!! My only regret is they no longer make it in the patchouly scent which I really loved

This soap gets my clothes really clean. The amber is nice though I think I prefer frankincense & myrrh.

I have used two Zum laundry soaps purchased locally: Patchouli, and Lavender. We love them both, they smell exactly like those two essential oils. The scent lasts for a few days after washing, so in your drawer or closet you have a beautiful scent. But unlike the kinds of yukky scents popular in so many detergents these days, these natural scents do fade after awhile, which is what they should do in my opinion. This time I got the scent called Amber, described here on Amazon as: "Sultry Scent Notes: Amber Zum has notes of vetiver and patchouli for grounding energy, while lavender adds sweetness and cedar and bergamot top things off." On the bottle, however, it does not name cedar, vetiver, or patchouli, which are some of my favorite go-together scents; all it says is bergamot and lavender .. anyway, it does smell like vetiver/patchouli, so I do love the scent. Not sure why they label it like that.I do have to say the packaging for shipping was not good at all. Having learned the hard way that I should never order a large bottle of soap of any kind along with anything else (therefore, order those separately, people!), I did order just this. It came in a small box (thankfully, not just an envelope, bubble kind or not) and it did have a bit of packing paper fill. So it arrived in good shape, no spillage. But it sure could have spilled out! My pictures show that the soap inside was all foamed up from being jostled in shipping, and all they did to keep that lid on was put a half piece of tape on it!!! Listen up, whoever is doing the packing, Amazon or Zum --- you need to put proper tape on these bottles! How many leaks does it take, or returns or undeliverable packages, do you need to learn that lesson? It did take me 3 or 4 times, I must admit, but now I know -- NEVER order a large bottle of liquid with any other kind of products or you just may wind up with a mess.I do highly recommend Zum laundry detergent. I do not like their hand soaps, though.

I was scared to buy the frankincense and myrrh because of the mixed reviews, but I really like this detergent. I washed an oversized queen winter comforter with one capful and it smells, and feels amazing, with no residue. My package came in tact and with no spills. I am very satisfied, glad I took the chance, and have no complaints
