100% better than the plastic stock oil filter housing.
Perfect fit on my 2023 Toyota Tacoma TRD Off Road. Much better than the plastic oil filter housing. Installed in less than 10 min and torqued to 18 ft pounds.

Worked Perfect on the 2013 Toyota RAV4
I purchased this filter housing to replace the plastic one installed on the RAV4 when I bought it. I had always had my oil changed at the dealer and after the last time I decided to start changing the oil myself. They had overfilled the car and charged too much for this service. I heard stories about the plastic housing cracking and leaking, and after I tried to change the oil myself I knew why these stories were true. Not only did they overfill the engine but the plastic housing was on so tight it took a 36 inch ratchet a heavy equipment mechanic friend loaned me to get it off. This aluminum housing seems well made and is OEM. I don't know why Toyota went to plastic, or to the horrible cartridge filters, but it is what it is. When I installed this housing onto the RAV4 it installed easily and I torqued it to the specified 18 foot pounds and the drain cap to the specified 9 foot pounds. This came with the housing and the drain cap. The box it was in was pretty beatup because it was just put into a amazon paper pouch, and I am sure it was not treated gently during shipping. I wish the supplier would have put it into a box with bubble wrap, but I guess that is too much to ask, especially with free shipping.

OEM Part
Perfect fit. If you’re looking to get rid of the factory plastic housing this is it.Toyota part numbers and OEM quality.I used some ain’t seize compound on the aluminum to aluminum making surfaced to help with other future removal. The trick is to not over tighten the housing.18 foot lbs is plenty.

Perfect & stouter than original composite housing
What can I say - it's a Toyota replacement, so you know it's perfect. Got tired of breaking teeth on the original composite housing and decided to go metal. (plus having a decent wrench that fits snug helps)

Highly Recommended for Tacoma Owners!
Bought this to replace the terrible plastic oil filter cover on my 2020 Tacoma. This was a great value and more of a preventative maintenance from the dreaded cracked oil filter housing issues that plague the 3rd gen Tacoma. No issues with fit and the truck has well over 10,000 miles on it with ZERO issues. Would highly recommend all 3rd gen Tacoma owners buy this!

easy enough to install
easy enough to install. I'll know how it really is once I change the oil in 7500 miles

Definitely OEM Quality
Bought to replace OEM plastic oil filter canister on my 2016 Camry SE. Exact replica. High quality.First thing I tested was to pour water in canister until filled to ensure the spring-pressured, drain port @ bottom of canister completely sealed (which it did).Last week I bought a Chinese knockoff from Amazon and water came out the bottom through the port that's supposed to stay closed until a plastic fitting is inserted to relieve pressure and drain the oil in the canister. Chinese knockoff returned.Important that the drain port seals completely; otherwise you are only relying on the ONE SMALL o-ring under the round drain cap @ bottom of canister to keep oil from dripping out of the canister and eventually losing all your engine oil.So if you buy any canister other than OEM Toyota one, you better FIRST test that drain port by filling the canister with water or oil, and not rely on the one, round drain cap's o-ring to keep oil from leaking out. Also remember that the canister is torqued to 18 ft lb (using a fluted, oil filter cup tool) but the round drain cap on the bottom of the canister is only torqued to 9 ft lb using a 3/8" ratchet. If a mechanic does not know this, they may insert a 3/8 ratchet onto the drain cap and mistakenly then torque the canister to 18 ft pounds which over torques the round drain cap itself! So use a fluted oil filter cup tool to torque the canister, then screw in the round drain cap on the bottom of the canister and torque the round drain cap tonight. To do the oil change, first use a 3/8 in ratchet to remove the round drain plug previously torqued to 9 ft pounds. Then insert the plastic tool that comes with a Toyota oil filter to drain the oil out of the canister, and then use the fluted oil filter cup tool to spin off the canister which was previously torqued to 18 foot pounds at the last oil change.

Worth the money.
Great product. The factory plastic one broke after dealer torqued it too tight to get off.
