The Directorate of inter - services intelligence ( ISI ) : A State within a state
* The Directorate for inter- services intelligence, more commonly known as ISI, was founded in the year 1948 by a British officer Walter Joseph cawthrone.* In the initial years of it's creation, ISI somehow remained very mild and obscure but it gained it's prominence during the 1979 Afghan - jihad, and with the help of ' Uncle Sam ', The ISI helped and trained the afghan pashtun mujahedeens which later known by the name of " Taliban ", they organized various terrorist attacks in the Indian Punjab, Northeast India, supported and trained all the anti-social elements to bleed india because they realized that conventionally they will never win against India.* When the Soviets left Afghanistan in 1989, ISI Became at that time a 'State within a state', they followed their own foreign policy, threatened the politicians of pakistan at will.* Infact all the major terrorist oragnizations have their links with the ISI of pakistan, for example Al-Qaeda, taliban, hizb-e-islami, laskhar-e-taiba, jaish-e-mohammed and Haqqani network, they all received money and guidance from the ISI personnel.* This book revealed many secrets of the ISI, about its history, the various covert operation it organized across the globe from India to Europe, the author himself lived in Pakistan for 13 long years, established various contacts within the ISI, interviewed the former heads of ISI, and presented to us in the form of this Book. Pathetic
Reads more like a chronological history book. Too many names and idiotic factoids. Pathetic attempt.

Great games by ISI
Well written..explains quite well about the games played by ISI without any remorse ...purely to destabilize and control the matters in Neighbourhood ..from Afghanistan..Pakistan and to an extent in india . Afghan story is well written and how ISI played great games and despite agency being from a third world country Pakistan..the finesse and precision is at par with best in the games ..likes of CIA ..Mossad..Biggest slap on its face has been liberation of east Pakistan ( now Bangladesh 🇧🇩) ..how if mercilessly played dirty political games in Pakistan .

Brilliantly detailed chronology of events in Pakistan.
Brilliantly detailed chronology of events in Pakistan. Great information on individuals too. Backed by interviews with some people. A must read!PS: ISI's been about sowing separatism in Kashmir since of Ayub Khan. This German author says it but Indians don't believe it. Lol
