Be cautious so you don’t zap yourself!
I use it when i go out and about for aggressive dogs. You dont have to touch them the noise is enough. But my grandson said to tell reviewers that it is very effective as he zapped himself accidentally ! It also has a long charged time.

Looks like a pen fits easily in bag
Bought for teen daughters so they always have protection size of pen and easier to use

Flashlight?!
The stun gun portion and size are great, however I read the reviews and many say there’s a flashlight! I see ZERO flashlight on this! Am I missing something? I ordered this because it was as a stunner AND a flashlight!

This little taser is perfectly disguised as a pen.
Just the sound is intimidating. I carry this with me everywhere.Definitely something to make you feel safe and is easily mistaken for a pen.

Not sure how painful it'll be, but it sounds like it'll do the job.

Compact, non-obtrusive, and very intimidating!
Warning: Don't do like I did, and take the item out of the box without lifting up the plastic insert. The charging cable is underneath the plastic and out of sight. My only complaint about this thing was going to be the lack of a charging cable, which is a micro usb, not a type C. Then I pulled the box from the trash and found the cable! Just so that you know what this thing actually is, while it is labeled as a "Protection Device", it looks like a mini stun gu..uh.."device" to me. Given the PC climate today, I see why they call it that though. Check local laws before you carry this. We're in Texas, and still free, so the only problem we might have with something like this is public shaming for its small size. Concealed carry in our area is very acceptable, and I originally ordered this item as easy to carry, less than lethal device to complement the other protection items I carry. Normally, you can only carry a certain amount of gear for personal protection before you look like you are geared up for the army. In many cases, one could carry this item along with other personal protection devices. Options are nice. If I have the time and opportunity, I'd rather scare off an aggressive person or animal than resort to other methods. It's very unobtrusive. It looks much like a fat ink pen. If you place it in your pocket, most folks are going to think that you are really a geek, but they probably won't think that you have a protection device in your pocket. My daughter, who is in college and sometimes works late shifts, was over when I unboxed this. She really admired it, so off it went to college! She can't carry a full-size self-defense device while at work. Normally, she'd have to make it to her car before she could obtain any kind of protective device. Not so with this device. The electrodes, or whatever the metal parts on the zappy end are called, are pretty close together, as they have to be on an item of this diameter. I'm not dinging the item for that because the only way to fix that would be to make it a lot larger, which defeats the whole concept. I have no doubt that the close spacing does make a difference compared to a full-sized item. But how much, I don't know. I have no idea what this thing feels like, and the very loud and menacing zapping sound it makes was more than enough to convince me that I didn't want to test it out. If one were to find oneself in a predicament, the bright spark and loud sound this thing makes might very well end the encounter right then and there. I call that a win. Better to have something than nothing IMO. On an interesting note, animals HATE the popping sound these things make! We have an electric fly swatter and our cats run at the sound of the very tiny pop whenever we manage to swat an unlucky fly. Several of our cats were slumbering away when we unboxed and triggered this thing. Cats exploded into action and went running in every direction! Which brings up a another potential use for this. Several times while out on a walk, we used just the popping noise from a full sized "protective device" similar to this to run off stray dogs that seemed intent on attacking our leashed dog. I think that this device is loud enough that one could deter most stray dogs from you or your pet in many cases. FYI, we did a little training with the other device around our dog. We triggered the device and then gave our dog a treat. After doing this several times, he was fine with the noise. If you try using this to run off a stray dog or aggressive person, you might scare your own dog if he's never heard the sound before. I like this thing enough that I am considering ordering a second one for my wife to carry when she is out and about.
