Worked Pretty Good
I ordered this item because I needed to take two injectable pens with me on a domestic flight from Florida to Arizona. I was able to fit the two pens inside and the ice packs did keep them cold during the eight hour trip (driving time, waiting, flying, more waiting, more driving...). I was not super concerned about the medication staying too cold because these pens can actually reach room temperature and still be good for a few weeks so I was not worried about the medication being ruined but they did end up staying cold enough so that I could keep them refrigerated after the trip (versus leaving them at room temperature since you are not supposed to re-refrigerate after they reach room temp). I was pretty happy with this product and I do recommend it.

Perfect for its purpose
Honestly with the ice packs you can fit 2-3 syringes of whatever comfortably. I used it to transport my meds. Loved how portable and reliable this was.

Sturdy and large, battery access is where?
The case is larger than I expected or my other travel case. See scissors for scale. I like that it has a hard outer case with a bit of give. The temperature probe is nice too and works well. The ice packs can be put in three places but there are only two of them. The picture up top shows them in the edge pieces, but it feels like I should put one in the middle. I'll have to experiment with that. There are no instructions. The case came with the temperature LED probe already on and working. There's no way to turn it off. I also don't see where to access the batteries to change them. I'm afraid of prying things off in case I break something. A different very favorable review on this item talking about the ease of battery changes turns out to be a different item if you scrutinize the pictures included. Another review mentions instructions and a different look to the case than the one I got. What's going on with that? There's no options listed up above when ordering. The case is roomy and will hold a lot of supplies, multiple pens, insulin vials, etc, which is nice. I just have mixed feelings on the LED temperature probe dying in the closet and then we I go to use it and it doesn't work and I can't find the battery opening to fix it.

didn't work
the product is a good idea but after freezing the ice packs it came with, the product didn't work. the temp never changed. didn't keep the medicine that cold. Also it was really bulky.

The digital temperature display stopped working (even with new batteries)
I bought this insulin travel cooler a couple of months ago and decided it was finally time to write a review. Unfortunately, when I went to test it, the batteries had died. I replaced them with fresh ones that worked fine in another device, but the temperature still wouldn't register. While it does keep medication cold, I have no way of knowing how long it will maintain the right temperature, which is crucial for some medications. Swapping out the batteries was easy enough (you have to pry out the display--I used a butterknife), but sadly, it didn’t make a difference.

travel insulin cooler
This travel insulin case is perfect for keeping any small medication cold. It is easy to use and the digital temp display on the front is so handy to check the temperature without opening the pouch. It did a great job keeping the correct temp for several hours while I traveled. I have not flown with this, but it does state that it's TSA approved.

Very handy for keeping medicines cool when on the road
This medicine holder is great when traveling. Its compact design makes it the perfect fit for me, as it can securely store the medications I need to keep cool when I am on the road. In order to keep the medicines cooler longer, I add my own insulation by wrapping it in a thick towel.
