Nice case to protect your stuff and keep it dry

I have 2 go pro's and my dji mic case all cut into this, and still have room for my go pro batteries. The hinges are nice, and it packs well into my trailer when bicycle touring. Its the perfect size. Its nice and lite too.

I was flying for the very first time with a firearm and picked up a cheap plastic case at the local sports store to carry my handgun in. I had read the airline rules for flying with a firearm and didn't think anything of putting it in the cheap case. At the airport the TSA agent pulled me aside, saying that I couldn't use the case. Turns out that the cheap case only had one hole for a lock and even with it locked the other corner could be pried up, permitting easy access to the firearm. Evidently they are concerned that baggage handlers and whoever might steal it. I didn't bother mentioning to the Agent that if someone were going to take the time to bend/open the case to get at the gun they could just as well walk away with the whole case, but evidently the TSA isn't concerned with that.So, for my next flight I bought this Pelican 1150. It fits my full-size M&P 9mm perfectly as well as the magazine. I purchased 2 combination locks and a bicycle cable lock too. The 1150 has a hole for a lock at each front corner, so now when I lock it there is no way that someone can twist the case and get to the firearm. With the cable lock ( I have all 3 locks set to the same combination) I run it through the handle of the Pelican 1150 and around the frame of the suitcase that I'm carrying it in. I use the old cheap case for holding my knife, ammunition and extra magazines and lock it up with the cable lock also.I have now had more than one TSA agent comment on how well the firearm is protected in this manner and I can fly without worrying about it disappearing before I pick it up in baggage claim. Bright yellow case is perfect for me, in that not only is it hard to lose in the brush, but I also know it's mine right away, especially when there may be a stack of similar hard cases on field outings.The pluckable foam is user friendly for form fitting your gear, I use a small knife to help remove blocks for a slightly cleaner look.Within this 1150 case I am able to securely fit a GoPro, dual charger and charging cable, an extra battery, microUSB cards, and both the floating and the tripod handles. It's deep enough to layer items above and below although I only took advantage of that for the dual charger and it's cable.Overall, a great product that keeps my gear organized, readily accessible and no worries about damage. Peace of mind for the price.

I purchased my Pelican 1150 case to protect my recent purchace of a CountyComm GP-5/SSB ultralight portable radio.I use the radio for multi-band DXing in the field and I hike to some pretty gnarly areas looking trying to tune in interesting long distant broadcasts, so I needed something TOUGH in case either myelf or my GP-5/SSB took a nasty header.I couldn't be happier than I am with the Pelican 1150! The stated interior dimension are exact. The "pick and pluck" foam is limitlessly customizeable and provides serious shock absorption.The case itself is TRULY watertight (tested and forcefully submerged-bone dry after 5 minutes).It is EXTREMELY crush-proof. Made of what appears to be the same material as my old, indestructible 'Tuff Stuff' toys were made of. If I couldn't destroy this stuff when I was 7, I certainly can't do it now!The lid hinge is solid, no play and the articulated latches snap in place with authority and STAY closed.The one way vapor valve should prove invaluable when stowed in aircraft cargo bays on flights and the blaze orange color will make it a veritable impossibility to lose in the underbrush!And a rare and excellent selling point? They're made right here in the good ol' U.S of A.!I would happily pay double for this kind of quality and protection. (But I'm really glad I don't have to!).Got something to protect? Look no further than Pelican cases. I'll never buy another brand again.

Picture Notes: pictures with three cases are the 1150, iM2050, 1400 from smallest to largest.Review: I bought this case ever hopeful that although the dimensions didn't look quite like they'd get the job done, maybe, just maybe, my A9 with tiny 35/2.8 lens would fit in it so I could safely place it in a backpack while skiing. Unfortunately no way no how. The top of the A9 is at a height even squishing won't overcome. It's also just slightly too tight to take the lens off and place them side by side while still having adequate padding. The case is strong as heck though, so if you're comfortable with just relying on the case's own impact resistance without adding in the foam, you can successfully get an A9 and 35/2.8 side by side, and they'd still be protected in the two other dimensions once you pick and pluck the foam.I ended up going with the iM2050 for this project instead. It's larger than I wanted, but unfortunately Pelican has no case in between the 1150 and iM2050 that is simply a taller version of the 1150, which is what would have been ideal.Pelican, if you're reading this, please make me an 1155 that adds about an inch to the height and does not change width/depth. :-)

Este é meu segundo case Pelican, o primeiro (silver) foi para acomodar um drone DJI Mini 2, já o preto será para meu kit de câmera mirrorless que está a caminho (veja também minha opinião sobre o case Pelican 1150 silver aqui no Amazon).Sobre o produto, as características que me atraíram foram as seguintes: robustez, estanqueidade, portabilidade e a qualidade Pelican, que é indiscutível.Pretendo adquirir o Pelican Air 1615 quando o câmbio ajudar, será minha mala de viagem! ;)

Protege los equipos al 100 es una gran compra

O case tem um tamanho excelente para pequenos equipamentos, cabendo em qualquer mochila. Utilizei para acomodar meu drone DJI Mini 2, e deu certo, cabem três baterias e hélices reservas embaixo do controle. Ficou no limite, como eu queria. Como utilizo drone em áreas remotas, travessias de barco, pego muita chuva, escolhi o Pelican pela extrema durabilidade e estanqueidade.
