Excellent for New Mexican green sauce
Every year I await the arrival of a case of fresh Hatch peppers at my store in Louisiana. This year they did not make it. I got online and found these jarred peppers and decided to try them for my Green sauce recipe and was well pleased with the result. This product is a superb substitute for fresh roasted Hatch peppers.

Exceptional Product
Having ordered Zia Hatch Red Chiles multiple times in individual glass jars, we were really happy when they became available in a six-pack. It's so convenient to have a surplus of these on hand for just about any recipe or occasion. They are fantastic - the canned versions sold in grocery stores are in no way comparable. As a side note - because we've been purchasing the red chiles over an interval of a year or so, its been interesting to experience the differences in flavor and heat level depending on time of harvest. Early autumn/end of summer orders seem to have a noticably increased kick and pungent taste. We happen to like the milder flavor of the reds, but I believe a six jar selection is also available for the Zia Hatch Green Chiles and you should opt for these if you're looking for heat. The seller, A Bit Crunchy, is absolutely the best, should any questions or difficulties with your order arise. We recommend this delicious product without reservation - try these as a ready salsa for tortilla chips, nachos or add to any dish in need of a subtle, spicy Southwestern kick.

From a New Mexican chili lover
Funny story- we are New Mexicans who are addicted to Hatch chilies. On a trip to New Orleans we were going to grill burgers with family and HAD to have green chilies. We figured we’d only get the flavorless little cans so far from home. We spotted the Zia’s which we had never seen before in our area and decided to try a jar. SO flavorful! The perfect heat (we like medium to hot) . We enjoyed them so much we actually went and got more to take BACK to New Mexico! We use these for eggs and burgers and so much more. Super easy to cook with and the jars are easier to store than cans too.

Tasty, great to have for recipes too
These are an awesome thing to have at hand to add flavor to simple snacks, for impromptu meal concoctions, etc. I’ve bought many for me, and as gifts!

Mild green chile adding flavour versus heat
Having left New Mexico for a couple of years, I have found myself needing a regular fix of Green Chile. I found that the canned items usually lost all the flavour and some other bottled versions seemed to want to compete with a Carolina Reaper for heat. For a lot of dishes from steak tampico to green chile stew I want the primary flavours and then an after flush of heat to remind me that I am not at home. The Zia Mild Green Chile fits the bill and makes for a good mix. We go through a six pack every other month. When I want more heat I can dial it up with a bottle of the hot stuff, and if I want Christmas (we all want Christmas) I can add in some Red.

High quality chilis
If you've ever had Hatch green chilis, you know. These have the perfect amount of warmth and savoriness. However, the best part is that someone has really got their process down by where the skins are not covered in char. I HATE feeling like I'm eating carbon, and these are excellent. Yes, there are some pieces of skin left, but they are not charred, and I sincerely appreciate that.Toss a jar in the slow cooker with some roasted pork shoulder, and have the most amazing green chili carnitas ever!

Great flavor
Awesome green Chili's I order them often. Every now and then I find a couple pieces of skin that I don't seem to get when I process my own. I wouldn't mind if they were a little hotter, but then my wife wouldn't eat it.
