Makes nice mildly buttery, but sweet pop corn
This popcorn ships in a two pack. Each pack contains three sections: a section for oil, a section for popcorn, and then a section for granulated sugar. The instructions on the bag are not in English though, but the preparation of this is pretty straightforward, and as described on the Amazon product page for this: heat the oil, pour everything in the oil and mix, and then wait for the popping. If you are used to making pan/pot popcorn then this would be very familiar. When I made mine, I ended up with a sweet, buttery, crunchy bowl of popcorn. My only issue is that the amount of sugar is a lot. You could easily cut down on the amount of sugar by half with this. That said, the sugar does caramelize in the pot , and it gives the popcorn a crumbly sort of crunch, and maybe using less sugar may affect this.

Sugary sweet candied popcorn
I have never popped popcorn like this. You do need to melt the oil with the sugar and mix the popcorn kernels in at the same time. This will only work in a pot on the stove. Using med-high heat, the popcorn will soon begin to pop. Shake the pot a few times until the kernels stop popping. I recommend using a glass lid so that you can see the progress.Let it cool for a bit and the sugar will begin to harden a bit. The end result is a crispy sugar coated popcorn. It has a very buttery sweet taste with every bite that is a little bit crispy. It’s not the same as kettle corn as it is sweeter and doesn’t have the salt.As a side note, wash the pot before the sugar hardens. It make it easier.
