A quality trail camera with impressive tech features to make your life easier!
The media could not be loaded. If you are looking for a smart, reliable trail camera that takes high resolution photos and videos, then this is the camera for you! The best thing about this camera is that it won’t be fooled into photographing trees blowing in the wind or sticks falling from a tree. Instead of using motion sensors like a lot of trail cameras, it uses infrared sensors so it only detects live animals. This is an underrated feature and truly saves me quite a bit of time when it comes to looking through the photos and videos it took, and it also helps to preserve storage space on the 32GB microSD card that comes in the box with the camera. Perhaps the latter isn’t an issue for you with your current trail camera but, because this camera takes very high resolution photos and videos—photos are 10240x5760 pixels each, so 60MP, and videos are shot in 4K at 30 FPS—it’s quite important that the camera not activate unless an animal is detected in the viewfinder. The second best thing about this camera is the built-in WiFi. If you’re within 30 feet or so of the camera, you can connect to it by joining its wireless network. Then, using the Flysocks app, you can view the photos and videos it took, and even delete or download them directly to your mobile device. The other nice thing about the app is that you can adjust the settings for the camera without having to unmount it and adjust them using the physical buttons on the device itself, which is much quicker and can be done on the fly. In my case, I was hoping to get a glimpse of some coyotes but you never see them during the day. So, to preserve battery, I used the app to configure my camera to only take photos at night between the hours of 11pm and 6am. Pretty cool, I’ve never been able to do that with my trail cameras until now. Also worth a mention: this trail camera is so sleek! It looks very, very cool. I know that has no bearing on its functionality as a trail camera, but I wanted to mention it anyway because I was stoked when I unboxed it and saw it in person for the first time.

Impressive Image and Size
The media could not be loaded. Right out of the box I was impressed with the build quality and size. It was smaller than expected. The instructions and menus were fairly easy to follow.I was a little disappointed that it wasn’t rechargeable nor do they recommend using rechargeable batteries. So I popped in 8 AAs, and set it up in the woods for about 26 hours. The camera picked up 16 photos along with 16 matching ten-second videos. The images and video were crystal clear, and the night vision was sharp too!The battery was still at 100%. I’m a lot less concerned about battery life. This cam sips power. It even records temp and time stamp on footer of photo and video. So far, I’m impressed… and hoping to catch a bear or coyote soon!

Excellent Trail Camera! Just Get It!
I am very impressed with this trail camera and Flysocks as a company. I've purchased many of their products and I've always been satisfied with their products and customer support if needed. As for this trail camera it works really well! It has a built in WiFi, so if you're within 30 ft of it then you can connect and download photos or videos it took or see what it's seeing live. The only downside to this is that it takes 8 AA batteries. I was concerned about that at first, but the batteries actually last a really, really long time! I had it on photo and video mode outside by our bird feeders and it's been a little over two weeks now and the battery level still says 100%! It's been taking photos and video clips as well! So the fact that it uses batteries and isn't rechargeable doesn't have me concerned any more. It's a solid product! The night photos and videos are very clear and work well. I've had it outside being snowed and rained on and in the sun and it still seems solid and unaffected by being out in the elements. I have zero complaints about this product. If you're on the fence or a little hesitant, just make it happen and purchase this trail camera. You won't regret it!

Great resolution, poor user interface
The image quality is great! The molded construction of the body and doors are well designed and manufactured. The camera would not operate with rechargeable batteries, even though it showed "75% charge".However, the user manual recommends to not use rechargeable batteries. Also, about 10% of the rechargeable batteries that I had were too big and jammed in the battery holes in the camera body. The camera comes with a "6V" port, but no 6V DC power adapter to plug into the wall was included. So you have to use batteries, or buy your own power adapter. The camera takes 8 of the 1.5V DC AA batteries, but they are arranged in 4Serial2Parallel arrangement which would be 6V.There is a slider button for ON - TEST - OFF. There are 5 other buttons that do nothing when the slider is in ON and OFF positions. Other cameras call the middle usable mode SETUP instead of TEST which, to me, makes more sense. The camera just says "Bye Bye" on the screen after a while when in ON mode and says the same thing but sooner in OFF mode. I assume that when in ON mode, "Bye Bye" means "monitoring motion" and will take a picture when it sees motion. The camera should send a more obvious message as the camera shuts down or goes to sleep or monitors motions or whatever it's doing at that time. The 5 buttons only have tiny engraving next to them that has no coloring in it and is not readable in most light. If you tilt it just right near a light source you can read MENU, UP, DOWN, OK, MODE. See photo. However, when you press MODE, it just beeps and the icons along the border of the screen may change, but it's not obvious what MODE you've entered, nor how many more there are.... so MODE is trial and error until you've gone through the complete set of options enough times to know what the camera offers. And in particular there is no MODE labeled "review pictures", which is a common need. There is a USB-C port, but it's unclear if it is for power or for downloading pictures. See photo. There is a 1 foot long USB-C cable included, but the other end of the cable is just a standard large rectangular USB end, which could be used for either data or power. The wifi interface does not "find" nearby Wifi signals. You must know the wifi name and password exactly and enter them with an extended series of UP and DOWN button presses. There is no LEFT or RIGHT button, so you have to use MENU to go RIGHT which is not intuitive. Also, it only allows up to 7 characters, and my wifi name and password were longer, so I got "exceeds limit" errors. The buttons enclosure and battery enclosure seals and over-center hasps feel sturdy and smooth. The flat head of a 1/4-20 camera mount covers part of the battery door, so you must remove the camera from the mount before changing the batteries. I wish they had put that mounting hole slightly further away from the door. See photo. There IS a paper user manual but it is 3" x 5" and printed in difficult to read microprint.
