I was sceptical, but now impressed
I've been looking for a MIG for a while and was considering the Sealey / Draper options. This came up on Amazon and i was a bit worried it was an unkown brand etc. Then again a 3 year guarantee goes a long way (hopefully...).I've only used gasless MIG so far, but the results were great. No blowthrough on thin tubing and a respectable welding job for me as an amateur. It does stick, TIG and regular MIG as well, but haven't got to that yet.Easy to set up, although the instructions are garbage - best look at some of the YouTubes. Everything works as it should and you can run it on a 13 amp plug unless you're trying to weld the Ark Royal.I'm very happy with it - what more can i say really. Now, do i need a plasma cutter?

Really easy to use for a first timer
Excellent welder. Good price and feels like a quality bit of kit.I've only used it for 30mm box section so far but as a first-time welder, I managed it without any problems.Haven't bothered trying it with gas yet as it seems to weld fine without.I would definitely recommend it.

A hopeful welder's review...
I'm a competent DIYer, happy with electrics, woodwork, plumbing, carpentry etc... but I've never welded, although I have several projects/broken things in my workshop which have been waiting for the day I start. So when I saw this come up for review, and noted the statements that it was good for beginners and DIYers, I thought "why not?" Well, as any experienced welder will likely now tell me, that was perhaps a little naive. This is a machine which presupposes that you know what you're doing; the instructions are basic (but perfectly good on the operating essentials) and certainly won't tell you how to get started - there's jargon in there I'll need to look up. It also doesn't come with consumables, eg the welding sticks; this is not an "everything you need" kit. So, as well as doing some serious learning, I need to invest in some more kit (or, hopefully, find it coming up for review on Vine). Be aware that as well as this you will definitely also need to invest in good gloves, apron and welding mask.Nevertheless I hope that this can be a useful review for others in my position, ie pondering a future in a little light welding and wondering what to buy. The unit itself seems well made and is nicely compact and light; if you do go for it, it won't take up much space in your workshop or shed. It's really cheap when you compare with the competition, but don't let that put you off; I've done a few hours internet trawling and the consensus on Reboot's various welders and accessories is that they are all 4+ stars - this isn't a fly by night operation which will sell you something then leave you high and dry (or electrocuted!). They've clearly had a presence in the US for some years now, and YouTube commentaries are generally very favourable.I'm definitely going to be using it and I think, based on my own research, that this is the unit I would have bought anyway, even if it hadn't come up for review. So, for what my opinion is worth, recommended.

Great For Homeowner,Mini Metal Melding, Pretty Cool
I am a beginner welder and let me tell you this thing is smooth,I need to weld smaller stuff. For that kind of work, this thing is PERFECT.I burned some 1/16 rods for practice work on scrap metal, which worked very nicely. The box is tiny (about the size of a shoebox) and lightweight. It will easily sit on a shelf until needed. I will use this thing, and I'm glad to have it.So definitely worth the money ground clamp could use some upgrades but over all the felt nice ,I love it I'm pretty sure it's my new favorite little welder for around the house now I'm gonna look for reasons to use it.
